The first visit involved a lot of sitting and waiting but this time I was moved quickly through all of the stations. As before, Dr. Ammar was personable, thorough and clear in his explanation of the physical condition of my eyes. I would give him the highest rating for his care.
Dr. Ammar is warm, caring, friendly, and professional! Takes time to answer all questions patiently and thoroughly.

Had an unexpected vision “disturbance” in my left eye. My opthomologyist in Encinitas sent me to Dr Ammar in Poway because of his outstanding retinal expertise. Professional, skilled surgeon. Explains everything. Answers all of my questions without hesitation. I call him my son. He’s family to me. I was legally blind in one eye for 2 years. I had a severely detached retina. Now I can see great again with clear 20-25 vision and with my eye continuing to heal and still getting better 6 months after surgery. Dr. Ammar is amazing. He’s the best.
