He is very informative, and listens to you. Wants to learn what you want to achieve. Great mannerism! Can’t say enough good about him!
I just had surgery 48 hours ago so there is initial pain to deal with, based on our previous consultations we were pretty much expecting this. I felt informed and prepared going into the surgery.
I can't stress this enough, Dr. Madsen not only is an excellent surgeon, he's definitely NOT surgery happy like some surgeons. Sometimes surgery isn't the best option to treat spinal issues, and Dr. Madsen will definitely let you know if it's not, as well as other options and treatments. But if surgery does turn out to be the best possible choice in his professional opinion, he will walk you through the process, explain what he's planning on doing and answer and questions or concerns you might have. I'd give him 7 out of 5 stars and I'm not a fan of doctors. Immediately, his demeanor puts one at ease. This is my second back issue. He did surgery on a bulging disc 2 years ago. It was same day surgery and I was a new person. Now that I'm having different issues, I wouldn't trust anyone else. He even takes the time to get to know his patients and asks about their life, not just their medical problems. His office fit me in his schedule the next day.
The first time I met Dr. Madsen I knew there was something special about this man. I was stunned at his caring, knowledgable, sensitive manner. After being disabled for so long& after numerous treatments, I was faced with the fact that I had to have spine surgery. I was frightened. Immediately Dr. Madsen made me feel assured, comfortable & ready to do this. All through the preop, surgery, hospital stay& post op, he was constantly in touch, caring how I was progressing. He was always assuring & positive. At 80 my progress was... read more
Dr Madsen too time to explain everything in great detail. I did not feel rushed in any way.
Dr. Madsen is a very talented doctor. We highly recommend him for any spine surgery. And he is so nice to talk with.
He explained everything very well he made me feel like I could trust him and means all to me.
From the first few minutes Dr Madsen puts you at ease. He answers my questions in detail. He was also very patient with my uneasiness and hesitation and waited for me to be ready. The care and compassion was outstanding before during and after surgery.
