We were taking our Yorkie to a clinic in San Marcos although we live in Poway. We wanted to change to a closer vet and a second opinion allowed us to do just that. Midland Vetinary took our pup without an appointment and spent quality time with her and us. We loved the doctor and feel great with the change!!
Dr. Carrier and the whole staff at Midland is top notch. They helped us with caring for our senior Lab and now are giving our new Lab puppy the greatest care. They are pros and really know how to handle all types and ages of pets. We do appreciate them all.
New here with my pup, Barley, since the old vet we had closed on us. I called to make an appointment and they told me to come in anytime after 12 the next day which I thought was a little odd but didn't think too much of it. We got there and they said they only went by appointments. No walk ins. Which is understandable but I don't know why I would be told to just show up anytime after 12. But they let me fill out my pups paperwork so they can have her on file, and they took the file and had us seen right away anyway. Very co... read more
Midland Animal Clinic is a dream come true! Very clean facilities and extremely professional staff. Kelsey, vet asst, was so kind and helpful. I could tell she really enjoys her job. Our family cat stopped eating and using the bathroom recently and we brought her to Midland animal clinic. I had recently moved up North and was unable to assist my mom with the trip to the vet which is difficult for her as she has MS. Once at the vet the doctors ran several tests and determined that our cat was most likely in renal failure. They suggested giving fluids to improve her condition and make her more comfortable. Every time I bring my dog here, I'm amazed how efficient they are. Great service and knowledgeable.
A few years ago my cat has a fever and wasn't eating so I took him to the vet I was using at the time, and was charged $400 on all sorts of tests and such. They never found why but the antibiotics worked and her was feeling better soon. After a bad experience with that vet Midland was recommended to me and I started going there instead. Once again my cat had the mystery fever so I took him to Midland and this time the bill was $80 because the vet wasn't trying to make me pay for treatment I didn't actually need. They never upsell and even suggested that I buy my pills online because my dog needs pills twice a day forever. Cha ching.
I just took my beagle there yesterday - she was attacked by another dog and had some puncture wounds in her leg. When I called in, the receptionist was nice and flexible about somehow fitting me in around MY crazy schedule. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. They were very sweet to Rosie and didn't try to "upsell" me on anything. They respected why I was there and tended to the issue at hand. Rosie was happy to have some pain killers and antibiotics.
