RecommendedExcellent phone service & prompt scheduling. Fast service @ appointment. Nice, helpful staff & Dr. My budgie (although he is usually very chill) was not at all stressed by being handled. They commented on his relaxed temperament & gave a demonstration to best administer medication. I thought that the pricing was on par w local rates & they made fair treatment recommendation based on the age/issue of my bird. Witnessed that they were very kind to a family whose animal did not have a happy outcome.

My hamster's left eye had become abnormally large and cloudy. I took him to a hospital, and the vet there recommended surgery. She recommended Midwest Bird and Exotic Animal for the surgery. I called them. Receptionist was pleasant and warm and scheduled the appointment for next day. My boy's vet was Dr. Habhab. When I got there, they took him in right away. My Pekin duck had blood on her chest and I couldn’t get in to our regular vet. Midwest Bird and Exotic Animal was able to get me in very quickly. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and professional. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend them!

We took our chicken that was bit by a dog for an emergency visit on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was kind and helpful. They were open about treatment options and offered to keep her overnight free of charge because we had driven a long way and there was going to be a significant wait while they took care of her wounds. They called consistently with updates. When we picked her up, they spent time with us showing how to give the medication and care for her.
