RecommendedAfter being frantic because of an emergency with my kitty, I had called and drove all around on a Sunday trying to find an emergency vet that could see my little baby. All of the hospitals were booked or had a minimum of a 4 hour wait. Midwest was able to see my baby right away. The receptionists at other hospitals lacked empathy, but not at Midwest. All of the staff that I interacted with were very professional and showed genuine care for my pet's health. In addition, I appreciated that the staff was upfront and transparent about the costs of each treatment. I would use them for my exotic animal needs in the future.
After finding some blood in our guinea pigs urine, I had some questions for a vet. I called 3 different referal vets and not one could help me even with a couple questions because they don't see guinea pigs. Ahhhhh! Was so scared. Finally called Midwest Bird & Exotic Animal Hospital and they not only answered energy single question, they were so patient and kind and saw them today, no appt needed. They were right on the spot in the curb side appointments, got my guinea pig in and out, talked to me about piggies health and nutrition and were very polite and wonderful.
I took my bearded dragon in a few days ago for an emergency visit. Everyone there was so nice to me. The lady I talked with handled my very small baby very carefully, she was very knowledgeable about not only the health problems he had, but also had an answer for every question I asked, health related or other wise. It was an EXTREMELY nice visit. They also gave me two options with two different costs so I had a choice on how to proceed with his treatment. I would highly recommend them to my bearded dragon owners out there!
Our cockatoo developed a case of the sneezies and boogers. We were searching for a place that would take a bird and found Midwest. They were super kind and patient on the phone when we made the appointment and instructions to come sooner if she was sicker. They were fabulous! We are so grateful!
