Excellent service. James and Ben came out to fix water pressure issues we had in our kitchen and bathroom. They were very professional and friendly. Everything was explained in detail about the problems and how best to resolve. I work from home, and they were here for hours and were very quiet and respectful while I was conducting meetings. I would not hesitate to use Mike Counsil Plumbing again!! 5 Stars all the way around!!

I was led to write a review about my first time positive experience with Mike Counsil Plumbing and Rooter Company on Saturday, 2/26/22. I was very impressed at how professional and friendly Tim (field manager) and Mario S. were. Tim inspected the leaking water underneath the sink and explained to me and the landlord what the problem was and what were the options to fix it. Simply great, old school, take pride in their work, customer-oriented company! This is the second time we have used Mike Counsil Plumbing and it proved the first time (laundry room washer water valves - highly recommend MC Plumbing for this work, too) was no fluke. Bobby Mata (as well as his assistant - sorry that I forgot his name) was very thorough and professional. Our 17 year old, 50 gallon water heater in the attic started leaking and obviously needed to be replaced. I used the Yelp feature to obtain multiple quotes and after researching the various plumbing companies, I focused on Mike Counsil and one other. Our shower was no longer producing cold water and ran scalding hot water anytime it was in use. We called Mike Counsil Plumbing and they were able to send out one of their plumbers, James. At first arrival he made sure to greet us with smiley eyes (had a mask on of course) and put on shoe covers before he stepped into the house. He was able to diagnose, quote, and fix the issue in a timely matter and a very reasonable price. While the workers at this firm are great and do their job, the owner was not unfortunately. This firm helped replace a water heater at a house of ours with a tenant who had a baby. Note: they had installed the initial heater too which broke down within warranty period (hence called same firm but wont hold this plumber for unit failure). Now the installation service cost charged was much more than the unit cost which given it was weekend we accepted to make it right for tenant who had to live in hotel with baby. Needed our laundry drain pipe replaced as it was failing, the quote we received from MCP was 5 times higher than the other quotes we received. MCP also told us that we were in need of a full house re-piping, even though we had not had any issues. I had the other plumbers quote and review the condition of the existing pipes when they were quoting the laundry drain. Both said we were not in need of a full re-pipe. Total bait and switch. Promised me work would be done and then after we agreed to price, they tried to claim that they never promised certain things (replace corroded pipes and valves) were part of the deal. I recommend going with a more honest company.
