The service was largely non-existent. There are very few traces of French cuisine left on the menu, which is now largely crowd pleasers, sans sauces or accoutrement. The preparation is solid and the ingredients are fine but its not the Mirabelle it used to be when Guy ran it as his own restaurant. It is now a commercial B&B dining room with profitability and mass appeal presiding over gourmet cuisine. Its really a shame. It used to be the best restaurant in much of Long Island but one can not even remotely make that assertio... read more
The food was bland. I ordered spinach fettuccine & oysters for an appetizer. The oysters were tiny & the pasta had no flavor to it. My husband ordered lamb with a side of broccoli rabe. He said the lamb was good but the broccoli rabe had these little cubes on it that looked like sausage. The waiter had no idea what the cubes were & had to ask the chef. He then told us that it was a stuffing left over from another entree they serve. The only delicious part of the meal was dessert. For $150 we were had. We will never go back n... read more
I am all about supporting local establishments But When a Place charges almost $60.00 for a burger and fries a cup of peppermint tea fish & chips and A glass of white zinfandel I Call Overpriced out right Piracy. The Service was Exemplary everything else not so much
we were seated in the very loud bar area, had to scream to hear each other, service was very slow, not worth the money
wanted to go to this restaurant for a long time but never did. it was restaurant week so we thought it was a good opportunity to try it out. Not worth the price - poor service I would not go back
It was Restaurant Week and we decided to try the highly-rated Mirabelle. We were disappointed in the food, the service and the ambiance. This restaurant is over-rated. We do not intend to return.
This restaurant has deteriorated in both food and service in the past year. It used to be one of the best restaurants in the area. Not anymore.
Not so good. Indifferent waiter. Asked for medium rare, but it was raw.
The night we dined at the Tavern, which was a Monday, the service was unacceptable. We waited 30 minutes to get a drink order, 30 minutes to order dinner, 30 minutes to get dinner, and after dinner another 30 minutes to get dessert. We had two small children who had to wait an hour and a half to get their food. It seemed like there was one waiter. I don't understand. The food was average, not great. Very disappointing.
