Cold inside the restaurant and fireplace didn’t work. Very slow service and it was sub-par. Food was not a great value for the money.
We waited 25 minutes after we were seated for our drinks. The restaurant was fairly empty for a Sunday night at 5:00 pm. This was our 2 nd time in a month where we had the worst service ever. I truly believe the management does not train their servers. We had to ask for everything. Another drink, silverware etc. To top it off the food was not as good as it use to be. Rumor has it that the head chef is not there anymore. Good luck if you go.
Everything about our dining experience for our anniversary was bland from the dishes to the decor. Very disappointing.
Inattentive/overwhelmed server No bread brought to the table Brought one cocktail to the table and the other 15 min later. Apps and Salad were good. Mains were dry, no flavor, and unimpressive. Dry duck/ridiculously small scallops for entree. Sauce was sophomoric at best.
new management . Made reservation for Mirabelle and got tavern.
The menu was lacking and uninspired. Both fish and fries in my $23 fish n chips were soggy. The portion was large which only meant I had a large plate of soggy food in front of me. The waiter was friendly but being very young had no knowledge of the wine list. The friendliness of the staff was a positive. But it does not make up for the lack of quality and imagination with regard to the food. I would’ve been better off eating at a local diner.
Mirabelle has such a reputation that I was sure we’d enjoy the experience. However, our meal wasn’t served until after an hour and fifteen minutes of waiting and the halibut was dry and tasteless. We’ll be looking for another venue to celebrate any future occasions.
With reservations at 6:00 on a Thursday evening, we were seated in an empty section of the Tavern. We ordered quickly--a Martini, Striped Bass, and Eggplant Parmesan. And a $7.00 serving of mediocre bread. We waited over 45 minutes with no visits by the stressed-out waitress and not even someone to fill our water glasses. When we finally asked someone for our waitress, she came, apologized, and said they were working on it. I asked about he new chef as the original chef had retired, and she said the new guy had called in sic... read more
