We went for Mother’s Day brunch. We have not been there in a very long time time. We had very poor wait service, the hot dishes were cold and the quality if the food was poor. At $65 a head they didn’t even include coffee. We were given our check in under an hour. We will not be returning.
Did the Mother's Day buffet. Food wasn't great. Service was poor. Normally, this is not the case at the Tavern or Mirabelle.
The service at the restaurant was so bad and took so long and was so overpriced that when my party left, we ended up going to another restaurant and met up with other people from a different table. The quality of this place has gone so far down that I will not be going back ever again
Small overpriced portions. The restaurant smells like a funeral home.
Mirabelle in name only. I never give bad reviews but I was so disappointed, and I feel misled, that I’m sharing this review. I was expecting the Mirabelle of the 80’s, and instead received a sub-par, over priced, under-seasoned, bland, slow, and disappointing meal. That was the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life. The food was either burned black (pancakes) or raw (sausages). The poached apples on the pancakes were not ordered and they were spoiled). My husband and I stopped eating and we were both sick anyway.
Very Underwhelming
made a reservation for New Years eve AT MIRABELLE THE TAVERN. we got to the restaurant and was seated. there was a paper menu on the table. NO WHERE ON OPEN TABLE DID IT SAY THERE WAS A SPECIAL New Years EVE MENU. THERE WAS A WHOLE PARAGRAPH ABOUT New Years EVE ON OPEN TABLE BUT NO WHERE DID IT MENTION IT WAS A SPECIAL MENU. THE MENU WAS NOT EVEN THE "TAVERN" IT WAS A VERY SMALL MENU. WE GOT UP AND LEFT THE RESTAURANT AS THERE WAS NOT ONE ENTREE I COULD EAT. We have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. We especially liked it during the Christmas Holiday. They always decorated this historic building nicely and it always a made our holiday more special. This visit however was different. The building was cold, our greeting was unenthusiastic and the service and food was subpar. The waiter seemed like a robot and the menu had all strange combinations of meals.
