Get directionsWe took our cat there because he was lethargic. They don't let you go back to the room with your pet so I am unsure if he was examined. After $239.50, they could not tell us what was wrong and wanted to do some blood tests to the tune of $400 to explore further. I asked if my cat was in danger of not making it through the night. They said no. I said I would take him to my vet in the morning. Took him to my vet. My vet found an infected cat bite on my cat and administered an antibiotic shot. The cat was back to his ol... read more
Cost was astronomical for running tests and they gave us the news of our dogs tumor IN the waiting area of ALL places. The place stinks and isn't a place where I will ever take my dogs again.
This Vet may be good for vaccinations but DO NOT take your dog here if there is something serious going on. This was a referral from my local vet. His initial diagnosis was spot on however Mission Vet did not consider his original diagnosis or even contact him to discuss. My dog suffered a serious injury and was misdiagnosed at Mission Vet. Cost me over $800 for treatment. On the last follow up appointment I was told that there was a more serious injury and that it would cost $2400 for surgery with a 60% chance of success. I took my 12 week old puppy in on Saturday night due to her being not herself, and I could tell something was wrong. When we did get there we filled out the paperwork and the wait time was not long at all. When we got in the room the tech looked her over and did all her vital signs, then she took her and told me she be back in just a few minutes.. 30 minutes later my puppy was still not back and nobody had came in to update me or anything. 20 more minutes pass and finally the doctor comes in. Doctor barley made eye contact ... read more
I called Mission Med Vet back in 2016 when I found out my pup needed TPLO surgery. There are only a few places that perform this surgery so I was needing to check for prices. When I told the receptionist I was needing an estimate on this surgery she said I would have to come in for a consultation because only the vet could give me that information. I explained the situation, told her I had the x-rays and knew what my dog needed. Again, schedule a consultation, which is nice that she knew how much that was. I couldn't af... read more
This place only cares about the $$$$ Last night, at the recommendation of a vet(not my normal vet) I was told to come here with my dog for an ultrasound. My dog was vomiting all day yesterday-took him to a regular vet, they did bloodwork and X-rays. The X-rays showed *possible obstructions* (I fully understand it's hard to tell on an X-ray vs an ultrasound.) it was too late to do an ultrasound there-they said I needed to get to the ER vet ASAP-even waiting until the morning possibly would've been too late. The vet faxe... read more
We had to put down our 2 month old cat named Daisy the other day. Dr. Mick gave us the news, and he definitely can work on his bedside manner. He was extremely condescending and made myself and my boyfriend feel even worse than we did before about having to put our little girl to sleep.
My partner and I brought our 10 year old beagle/German Shepard mix in on a Sunday after he was suddenly splaying his legs, drooling, and unable to lift his head. When he first got there, he started walking and wagging his tail. The vet tech suggested it was probably due to adrenaline and then gave us no direction on checking in. The staff said they couldn't give us an estimate on a wait time. Once he calmed down, his head started drooping, his eyes were moving back and forth rapidly and he was drooling quite a bit. We were p... read more
Update: Well he had to be euthanized today because he wasn't helped in time. So yeah not much more to say except I'm heartbroken. Very bad service. Receptionist didn't know what she was doing and rushed us. I felt like I just paid for someone to babysit my dog because they looked at me with a blank stare with no answers at all after everything was done. And of course it's pricey. Blood work 250, X-rays 275. I'll be traveling to a different vet next time. They talked to us like we knew nothing about our dog. And also did te... read more
