Get directionsOne doctor's negligence almost cost my dog's life. My 2-year-old dachshund was admitted to the hospital's ICU around midnight with hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. The overnight doctor expected him to be there 24 - 36 hours to receive fluids for dehydration and medication to treat his gastroenteritis. At some point the next morning his blood pressure and glucose started dropping significantly. By noon his blood pressure was below 60, which is dangerously low. Despite repeated requests from the vet techs, the daytime doct... read more

If you're going to have your pet seen here and you e already registered make sure you pack your camping gear also. We arrived as we told the front desk staff at around 10:30 am (after a two hour drive). Our dog has been listless, not eating for four days. We told them it was more of an urgent issue, being honest, and she wasn't on her last breath yet. We finally got notified being being in their "que" a couple hours later and there were 8 patients ahead of us. 2 hours later (around 1pm) there were 7 patients. went in at arou... read more

We understand your frustration, especially after such a long drive. We hope your sick pet got the necessary care needed.
You be the judge- Took our dog here because he was shaking, breathing heavy and peeing/pooping in the house when he was fully potty trained. I waited 30 mins to get a room, another hour to be seen. Our dog peed on the floor while I waited in the room. I explained all the symptoms when the vet finally came in and also that he was licking his pee. The doctor immediately said he thought it was either a mass or something with his back and we had to do an x ray but we would know that night what the issue was. The x ray and... read more

Christine, we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Please accept our sincerest apology for not meeting your expectations in terms of care. Due to your dog's symptoms, our team did what they thought was correct. We understand and respect your decision to not return, please know, that this has been submitted to management. Thank you.
They also forgot one of the staples when removing them two weeks after the surgery. So now we have to go back in from Lawrence for one staple.

This place is absolutely horrendous! There is absolutely no communication what so ever. Their numerous signs of personal conduct for pet owners is likely due to the poor quality of care, extremely lack of communication and excessive time it takes to be seen, examined, and treated. This place is worse than a human ER. We got here, were put in a room for 45 mins, and now my dog has been in the back for over an hour. No one has communicated anything to me about what is going on with my dog. This will be the last time I ever ent... read more

Christina, we appreciate you taking the time to share a review- we find all feedback to be very helpful. We hope you understand that not only are we in our busiest season, but we also work on an emergency basis. Meaning, pets are seen in the order of their state. We do apologize for the wait times and are working to implement a system that will assist with these long waits. We hope you will understand that our staff works very hard to ensure animals, like your own, are able to walk out of our facility healthy and happy.
Dog owners DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS here. Dr. Richards suggested we euthanize our dog few months back. When we brought our dog in on the weekend for a wheezing/cough, we explained to the vet that we currently have our dog on medicine for some respitory issues and we don't think we should euthonize our dog. We just had X-rays done that week. We sat in the room and discussed with Dr Richards like 5 feet from us. We decided that we were going to keep our dog on the ventilator. We're talking in full volume and stop to look at ... read more

This was our beloved family member "BLUE". Our experience here was heart wrenching, disappointing, upsetting and tragic. Our boy had an obstruction and blue pearl did not have a surgeon on hand so they called mission who said they did so we rushed him there and arrived at midnight Saturday. They wanted to observe him first.... The truth was they did not have a surgeon there to help him. We trusted them and left him for them to care for him. At noon we will still had heard nothing so we went to pick him up and wait till t... read more

First off you better ask for a quote before you allow them to do anything to your pet. Second off the little girl that's a receptionist is as good as they come. The worst thing from the Rona is the entitled pos that people like her have become. Yelled at me to put a mask on because I could kill someone. Laughed at her and didn't put it on because well it's been proven to be useless. Then the vet comes out without his on. Rules for thee but not for me I guess. I got stuck with a $3700 bill because they're a scam artist. It's ... read more

Jason, you came in to our facility during a mask mandate. That being, it was not us but the city of Mission enforcing this. We would have received a penalty had an official came in and our guests not wearing masks. While we cannot make an excuse for the doctor not wearing a mask, we do enforce it upon everyone including our staff. Like human healthcare, emergency and specialty services can be quite pricy. Most of which using the same equipment so price does not typically differ much just because these are animals and not hum... read more
DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. I brought my dog in as he was acting bizarre and on arrival ended up having a fever. I was accused of my dog getting into meth. He was hospitalized overnight and treated as an ingestion and discharged home. The same night I brought him back in for the same behavior. He had a fever of 106 and again I was questioned about having meth in my house. He was hospitalized for 2 days and discharged home. That night I took him to a different ER and found out that his behavior was because of a brain tumor and... read more
