This review is specifically for the childcare. The girls working here are truly wonderful and I appreciate that most of them are moms. I don't even know where to begin. Dropping my 4th baby off was just as hard for me as my 1st baby! As a stay at home mom, and a homeschooling family, I am very picky about who watches my children. As previously mentioned by Ana R., the general manager Kalie Baker is a racist and Mountainside fitness should not tolerate such discriminatory behavior from an employee that is supposed to exceed customer satisfaction. She clearly hates Latinas and wants to belittle and stereotype us. I had an incident that occurred this morning at this location. An Act of DISCRIMINATION really happened to me today as a regular member at this location, when I invited my son to be my guest for the day (I was even considering signing him up a month!). In other opportunities, I wasn't obligated to pay Just for One time pass. But Kalie Baker, who was in front, wanted to put above her Authority and arbitrary decision today by denying the passing day to my son at the gym, if he would not pay the fee demanded by her. Thank you to the whole staff that do their absolute best to make this gym awesome. My only 3 complaints: 1. Use of camera phones in the lockers. 2. Use of super nasty outdoors sneakers inside the steam and sauna rooms. Kind of defeats the purpose. Guys, it's gross. Stop doing it. 3. My wife said their Zumba instructor was out of shape, and made the guests instruct the class, which made her and a few others leave. This gym has a good assortment of weightlifting machines and cardio machines. But, in the past I've continually watched their massage therapist, Maryanne, vent her frustrations out on members of this gym who refuse her massager services (including me). It's very rude. I'm not so sure this gym is the best situation for me.

I have mix feelings about this gym. The Good Plenty of classes to choose from Enough machines Plenty of Parking at Arrowhead Good location and accessible The Bad High price but it's good for those that use the sitter service, showers, lockers, towels, sauna. I wish those like me that do not use the sitter service would get a discount even if we don't use the sauna and showers. The yoga instructors here do not demonstrate the poses. Except two of them Alice and Glenn are very good. Alonso is new in this location but seems ok ... read more
