Clean, great location and awesome instructors! Definitely recommend! The fact that you don't have to spend an arm and a leg to enjoy a gorgeous, high amenity gym in the area is awesome.
I have tried Mountainside gyms using my friends $10 day pass. But each of the gyms has a yelp check in one free day that the employees don't seem to know about. I went to the Desert Ridge location and they turned me away or said I could do the 5 day pass. So I came to this location and asked to do the 5 day pass. Very good location - one of my favorites when I'm in town. It's one of the bigger locations - with plenty of cardio options and a wide variety of machines. They even had a medicine ball rebounder that helped me out during a period of rehab. The weight side of the gym can be a little crowded during rush hour, but you can definitely get all your muscle groups done here in a flash. I love this gym! I've been coming for over 6 years. The assistant manager Zac is amazing and takes care of all the members. The front desk people are always very kind and welcoming. I recommend the yoga and spin class!
Locations throughout the area make it convenient for switching things up. Equipment is top notch. Hours are great.
I think it's fairly hard to review gyms, but I will have to say I think Mountainside Fitness is one of the better gyms in the Valley. Although there is a lot of room for improvement, this specific location is definitely on track to be better. The gym, for the most part, is very clean, and it's very rare that a machine is out of service. Especially for the amount of foot traffic they get on a regular basis. The minute I walked in the door I could feel a toxic vibe of superficiality, which, unfortunately I feel in almost all gyms.. First, the people at the front desk, who scan your card don't smile, don't greet you, don't even look up at you. This place could save a lot of money by just having a scan machine because the people emulate a zombie-like coldness and young adult insensitivity.
