I think it's fairly hard to review gyms, but I will have to say I think Mountainside Fitness is one of the better gyms in the Valley. Although there is a lot of room for improvement, this specific location is definitely on track to be better. The gym, for the most part, is very clean, and it's very rare that a machine is out of service. Especially for the amount of foot traffic they get on a regular basis. The minute I walked in the door I could feel a toxic vibe of superficiality, which, unfortunately I feel in almost all gyms.. First, the people at the front desk, who scan your card don't smile, don't greet you, don't even look up at you. This place could save a lot of money by just having a scan machine because the people emulate a zombie-like coldness and young adult insensitivity. if i could give this place a ZERO i would. the night time employees are extremely rude, i had a late night workout and decided to take a quick shower as i was getting out of the shower it was 10:50 walking back to my locker as im walking back from where the showers are the night time employe says cmon dude multiple times and SHUTS THE LIGHTS off on me so i can't see where i'm walking i could have easily slipped and fell and hurt myself.... as i walk past the employee he then gives me a dirty look mind you it's 10:55 at the t... read more

I normally enjoy this location. The people & staff are great. However, on a Saturday around 6pm their website indicated they were open until 9pm, so I went all the way there & the parking lot was empty. I am not happy as I arranged my day based off the information provided on their website.

In town for a week vacation and was planning on visiting a few local Gyms. I ended up sticking with Mountainside fitness. It is a great run to the gym along the canal. Inside, front desk staff is very welcoming! Gym is super clean and has everything you need for any workout you have planned!​

Came in for a free trail which Jordan was quick and efficient about getting me and my husband signed up for. We found the gym to have a lot of classes, a lot of space to move around and a very good selection of aerobic equipment and machines. Bathroom/ locker rooms complete with dry sauna, wet sauna, and towels for the showers. All were nice and clean. Most of the clientele are young and fit but not at all obnoxious at all- none of that power lifting grunting and groaning going on here. I am no long in the "young" age group ... read more

Not only do I love getting my fitness on at Mountainside its a great feel being able to leave my kids with the staff in child care. All my kids love Manager Alexia at the Pavilion location. Its something my kids look forward too. Its a win for everyone.
