I'm so appreciative for Mountainside Fitness! I Have been going for years and always recommend this gym to my friends. This past year the consistent and positive energy of Mountainside has helped tremendously mentally, physically and spiritually during all this crazy time. Love this location! Staff is friendly and pay attention to detail. Everything is always clean. And they provide you with wipes so things are double clean. They seem to be constantly bringing out fresh towels and making sure wipes are filled as well. I prefer the layout of this location as well. The child care center seems like it would be amazing for kids. I have recommended Mountainside to lots of my friends with children. I feel very comfortable and safe going here.

I have been a member of the Desert Foothills YMCA for years and really enjoyed it....but after the shutdown, my husband put together a little home gym for me and I was happy with that for a while. However, I truly love my time at the gym and I missed being able to use more equipment. So, I decided to join Mountainside back when the gyms were being shut down for the second time. Do not trust this gym unless you can get everything in writing. I have not been to the gym since March, however I have kept paying for my.membership as I wanted to wait and see how everything plays out with Covid. In July I decided to put my membership on pause, and I needed to update the card I had on filecalled in, and the person was happy to change my card and charge the current amount owed. After multiple conversations re suspending my personal trainer contract due to post-covid issues that I am experiencing Shannon (MSF Paradise Valley) just keeps billing me. I was told I have to buy out my contract regardless of the unforeseen health issues that I am dealing with. So I was supposedly given the option of buying out the remaining time for $180.00. I had been going to MSF for years and really enjoyed it. It was usually very clean and offered great classes. However, I moved out of state in March and have still not been able to cancel my membership. Cancelling my membership would have been easier via carrier pigeon. No one answered the phone or called me back until August when I was told I need to mail a letter requesting the cancellation, or I could come into the gym to cancel it. What?! This business is ABSOLUTELY criminal. I could write an absolute BOOK about how they a) refuse to answer their phone; b) open illegally and still charge accounts; c) still CHARGE after you cancel your accounts; d) DONT clean their machines; e) forced people to come in to close their accounts DURING A PANDEMIC; f) have horrible customer service and g) illegally send payments to collections without notice. I was pretty displeased with my recent customer service experience. Obviously, a lot of things have changed because of Covid. With that, I'd expect a little flexibility. My situation changed in that I've been working from home since March and will be for the long term as well. Used to go to the gym near my office, but that's no longer feasible. Mountainside Fitness is beautiful. It is aesthetically pleasing, has a great variety of equipment, great class schedule, and well kept female locker rooms. I love the variety of classes and the instructors are great, shout out to Vikki! They have done a wonderful job with COVID-19! Keep up the great work!
