I am 65 years old and have had serious problems with major panic disorder, depression, and all that goes wit it. I have been to numerous rehab facilities over the years. I had always been on some type of medication to get me closer to normal and allow me to do the things i was born to do. Examples are volunteering in many ways. Example: visiting Nursing homes, doing magic, playing music, and sharing Buddy, my Yorkie, with them . ther is no better feelling than seeing a 90 year old smile who hasnt in months. As soon a Buddy j... read more
I was sent here on December 10, 2014 following a five-day stay at Saint Thomas Rutherford. I had a flare up with my MS that resulted in me being so weak that I was recommended for inpatient aggressive occupational and physical therapy. It would include three hours of therapy a day. The customer service was excellent. All of the staff, from the doctors, the therapists, the nurses, the Techs, and even Housekeeping and Dietary were kind and helpful. Special thanks to my Occupational Therapist, Lewis and Physical Therapist, ... read more
Terrible! These are scam artists in my opinion, they never give shoes or return phone calls and when someone answered my call thinking I was a new patient hung up on me and then turned on answering service. Best advice GO ELSEWHERE!!!
Inpatient Depression episode. ******Do not go to Trust Point**** This place needs to have license removed. The staff is horrible. There was 1 or 2 that did not treat people with total disrespect. The folks that ran the day to day should be fired and reported. I was physically abused, verbally abused. The did not know what hippa laws are for. They totally disregarded my right to privacy . The all night crew, were nothing but mean. So much was done and said and I cannot communicate the physical pain as well as verbal. The day... read more
I do not recommend, this was the only option for my son with an IDD/medical complex diagnosis that needed immediate help. He has been there under 3 weeks and has refused his medications along with not eating altogether has lost over 20 lbs and has started showing signs of medication withdrawal and they are wanting to discharge to home Friday instead of trying to get him somewhere medically. I had thought this place helped patients like my son with ECT and therapies instead they just didnt do anything and now my son has hea... read more
My son was taken to Trustpoint on 10/18/24 and is still currently being held there, against his will, using TN code 6404/Certificate of Need and not only will no one at the facility give him or us any real, significant, answers on anything, but now we're hearing they've lost his belongings so he doesn't even have any clothes to change into. His nutritional needs aren't being met, and he feels unsafe there. Some staff have told him how horrible it is there and that they plan to quit asap due to the awful conditions. Trustpoin... read more
This will be a long review, but I want to be thorough because I wish I would have been warned before sending my loved one here. My father (age 63) had a stroke in July and was in West, Tn. He went to an inpatient rehab for nearly 7 weeks and was discharged to come live with my husband and I in middle Tennessee. We were going to help with his caregiving and getting him to/from outpatient therapy. At this point, we were hopeful that he would get back to a state of independent living and be able to return to his home. After l... read more
Patients life saving medication was with held. Patient ring 550.00 was stolen. No respect for patio family member. Let patient lay in own feces way too long. Would not let use restroom not was given a bedpan. Import connect to staff. This happened September 1st thru September 9th. Management is a JOKE and do not return calls. THIEVES !!! STAY AWAY. Pathetic Treatment !
My daughter was admitted to this facility in Dec. of 2023 due to stopping her prescribed meds she had been on for a few years because she wanted off the meds. Unfortunately, this caused extreme withdrawals leading to paranoia and psychosis. This was fully explained by a hospital psych nurse to personnel at Trustpoint Hospital. She was given an injection of an antipsychotic drug upon arrival. She thought she was being poisoned and refused to eat, drink, or take any PO meds after being admitted to TP. I was assured I would be ... read more
