We took our 14 year old dog in yesterday because she was vomiting blood. She is very skinny, she always had been, we have tried every diet under the sun for her. That is just how she is. She does eat! They made my husband feel like we were terrible pet parents, like we don't feed her. They don't know her history or that I am a RVT! They refused to give her any fluids because we could not afford $1500 to keep her overnight for IV fluids and monitoring. They gave her two shots that knocked her out! Terrible place. Went after my dog was hit by a car and ended up walking out after an hour and headed to Decatur. The staff was rude and unresponsive.
I am very thankful to have had my dog Karma treated by Dr. Carlo and the wonderful techs after an unexpected trauma she had sustained. The care she received was top notch and professional. I would not hesitate to come here again if needed. I only wish it was closer.
Our sweet blue tick pup got hit by a truck a couple of days ago and our vet was already closed. We didn't know if there was trauma or not (thankfully there wasn't, a few fractures but he should heal in time) so after calling our vet upon their recommendation, we rushed him to the Emergency Clinic. He had xrays taken and was given some pain meds and nausea medicine and had to stay the night. Do NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE. Forced to put down a dog because I could not afford their outrageous price for surgery. Vet will send a tech out to do her dirty work in letting you know the price. Your at their mercy, it's the only Emergency Clinic open late nite in this area. Pathetic
My little Maltese was attacked by a pit bull. He had broken ribs and a punctured lung. They had to perform surgery. They took such good care of him.
