About Us In 1995, Sheri Fastenrath, DVM identified the need for an emergent care facility for owners and their pets in the Huntsville area. Unfortunately, there were not many overnight emergency options for medical treatment in the surrounding area. Our sweet blue tick pup got hit by a truck a couple of days ago and our vet was already closed. We didn't know if there was trauma or not (thankfully there wasn't, a few fractures but he should heal in time) so after calling our vet upon their recommendation, we rushed him to the Emergency Clinic. He had xrays taken and was given some pain meds and nausea medicine and had to stay the night. Do NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE. Forced to put down a dog because I could not afford their outrageous price for surgery. Vet will send a tech out to do her dirty work in letting you know the price. Your at their mercy, it's the only Emergency Clinic open late nite in this area. Pathetic
My little Maltese was attacked by a pit bull. He had broken ribs and a punctured lung. They had to perform surgery. They took such good care of him.
I can't say enough about how wonderful the care they gave Charlie was. The veterinarian spent so much time with us answering our questions and reassuring us. Thank you!
They did a fantastic job treating our boy, Wallaby, over the weekend as he was recovering from a kidney failure crisis and diagnosed with Addison's Disease. The staff was great and comforting. They were very thorough and considerate of our not having a lot of cash to spare. It was clean, they we're very cordial, and knowledgeable, and reassuring in their confidence. We took our bulldog in after being hit by a car he received wonderful care. He is still alive thanks to the wonderful vet and staff would recommend to everybody who has an emergency with their fur baby.
