While visiting our son and his family in the Madison, AL on July 4th, our 13 year old Collie dog, Wally, passed away. Since it was obviously a holiday we were concerned about what to do with his remains until we could contact an animal crematory the next day. AECNAL graciously accepted Wally to be kept overnight until the crematory service could pick him up the next morning. From the moment we arrived our dog Tikki was so well taken care of. They kept him overnight and loved him through the night. He was perky and feeling so much better when he came home! Thank you!
We brought our 10yr old GSD/Husky mix in on 6/24 because he was unable to walk and "acting drunk." When we arrived we were met by the staff, who were not only patient with me (who was crying like the world was ending) but also with my dog. They gave us excellent treatment and kept us well informed about everything that was going on with my dog. Heads up - We brought our bulldog in to be seen and waited an hour before being put in an exam room where we sat for another hour. She was weighed and her temp was taken. Vet said she thought it was arthritis and would be back with a "plan". An hour later her assistant walked in and said "It's going to be $1200". When I asked "what for" she showed me the "plan" which included hospital stay overnight, fluids, meds, etc. We walked out, but not before being charge $90 for the visit. We took our 14 year old dog in yesterday because she was vomiting blood. She is very skinny, she always had been, we have tried every diet under the sun for her. That is just how she is. She does eat! They made my husband feel like we were terrible pet parents, like we don't feed her. They don't know her history or that I am a RVT! They refused to give her any fluids because we could not afford $1500 to keep her overnight for IV fluids and monitoring. They gave her two shots that knocked her out! Terrible place. Went after my dog was hit by a car and ended up walking out after an hour and headed to Decatur. The staff was rude and unresponsive.
