On Memorial day Our 2 older German shepherds were playing and the larger 90Ib male fell backwards onto our 7 week old German Shepherd. We thought she was going to die. We originally called HSVE and they said to bring her in and to fill out an online application to expedite the check in process. When we get there we were told there was a 2hr wait that was not mentioned when we talked to them on the phone and explained we were 45 minutes to and hour away and she was still out of it coughing up blood. Luckily this place was aro... read more

I took my very sick dog to this emergency vet on February 23. From the second I walked through that door I felt like I was a burden on the vet. She was short with me and wanted to charge me over $2000 what cost me $500 at my regular vets office. When I refused their treatment plan the vet never came back in to speak with me. Well we wound up having to put our dog down 5 days later. His life could have possibly been saved but this vet honestly seemed pissed off that I was there so early on a Sunday. If you don’t want to work... read more

I will not be going back. Dr. Bell was very rude and didn't spend the appropriate time with my animal to figure out that my dogs foot was broke.

When 15 pound pup that had just been attacked by a coyote, the vet asked me to leave the room because I was crying. The Monday after his weekend stay, I was called 10 minutes before they closed and told I needed to be there by 7 a.m. when they closed. I arrived and they handed me my dog in a cardboard box -- no help with the door, to my car, etc. Thankful this place was there when I needed it, but hopeful I'll never have to go back now that there's a new friendlier place by the hospital (HSVE).

Business response:

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, Morgan. We apologize for the delayed response. Unfortunately, we were unable to completely identify you as a client based on your full name within this review. We did discover a record with a different last name from a date in September 2018. If this is sounds correct, regardless of the length of time, we strive to maintain compassionate, efficient care, and we're truly sorry we didn't met your expectations. Please feel free to reach out directly at (256) 533-7600, so we can addre... read more

These people prey on your emotions when you come in with a beloved pet in critical condition so they can gouge your pocket and distract as much money from you in a time of serious need! They are heartless and cruel! I will never take my pets there again! They tried to charge me $750.00 for treatment for my dog when he was having fluid building up in his lungs from CHF... I allowed them to give him an injection of lasixs and that’s all. I paid $138.00 for that! I had my dog to his veterinarian in 41/2 hrs. after the emergency... read more

Every dog we have ever owned (5) has had a medical emergency of some sort. Each time we have seen different Drs & staff. We had great service each time. Pricey? Yes it was! But can’t put a price on my fur babies & my piece of mind.
