About this business

About Us In 1995, Sheri Fastenrath, DVM identified the need for an emergent care facility for owners and their pets in the Huntsville area. Unfortunately, there were not many overnight emergency options for medical treatment in the surrounding area. In response to that need, Dr. Fastenrath and other local veterinarians formed a committee to lay the plans for what would become the Animal Emergency Clinic of N AL. The response from the community was so overwhelming that many of the area veterinarians also came aboard ... read more

I will not be going back. Dr. Bell was very rude and didn't spend the appropriate time with my animal to figure out that my dogs foot was broke.

When 15 pound pup that had just been attacked by a coyote, the vet asked me to leave the room because I was crying. The Monday after his weekend stay, I was called 10 minutes before they closed and told I needed to be there by 7 a.m. when they closed. I arrived and they handed me my dog in a cardboard box -- no help with the door, to my car, etc. Thankful this place was there when I needed it, but hopeful I'll never have to go back now that there's a new friendlier place by the hospital (HSVE).

I Took My Dog Hemi In Around 1:30am Sunday & They Did Nothing But Give Me 2 Prescriptions & A E Collar.. They Didn’t Even Touch My Dog We Sat Him On A Scale & He Laid There The Whole Time & Idk How They Came Up With Half The Information They Put Down. My Dog Leg Was Wide Open You Could See The Bone & They Did Nothing At All But Over Charge Me. Dr Bell Said It Would Be Over 1500 For Her To WRAP HIS LEG!!! But We Got Him To His Vet Tuesday Morning ( Today ) & They Got Him Taken Care Of & He’s Having Surgery.

These people prey on your emotions when you come in with a beloved pet in critical condition so they can gouge your pocket and distract as much money from you in a time of serious need! They are heartless and cruel! I will never take my pets there again! They tried to charge me $750.00 for treatment for my dog when he was having fluid building up in his lungs from CHF... I allowed them to give him an injection of lasixs and that’s all. I paid $138.00 for that! I had my dog to his veterinarian in 41/2 hrs. after the emergency... read more

Every dog we have ever owned (5) has had a medical emergency of some sort. Each time we have seen different Drs & staff. We had great service each time. Pricey? Yes it was! But can’t put a price on my fur babies & my piece of mind.

This place has poor customer service and they are more concerned with money than actually caring for the animals. My sister and her fiancé waited for almost 2 hours before finally seeing the vet. When they finally did she her they were told that there puppy needed to be test for parvo which turned out to be positive. The vet then came back into the room and told my sister that the responsible thing to do was to put her puppy down. While waiting for someone to actually do their job and get it done one of the techs came in and... read more

Absolutely great care by the entire staff. All of the expected procedures and alternatives were explained upfront along with their costs. We were allowed to select which plan and costs were best for us and our pet. After her treatment, she was discharged to come home with instructions to take her to our normal vet for continued care and follow up. By the time we arrived at our normal vet the next morning, all of her paperwork was already there with the information of what procedures had already been accomplished (x-rays,... read more

Thank you so much to your staff and Dr Tucker for being so kind, caring and informative. Never had to experience this before and was very nervous. Thank you so much for the care you gave to my lil boogie dog. Thank you for taking care of all the animals yesterday on the Easter Holiday when you could have been with your families.
