My grandmother uses oak island accommodations to rent out her beach house and they are the absolute worst. They do not care about their customers at all. Someone came to clean the carpets while we were here and just walked right in on us. When I called to let them know they were very rude. They do a horrible job of upkeep with the house. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone ever. They didn’t even know we would be staying this week even though it has been verified with them several times.
I have rented from Oak Island Accommodation several times but when Florence hit and we had to evacuate on the first day of a week family vacation. Oak Island Accommodation would not work with me to refund my money or give my family another week vacation. I had to go to my credit card company to get some of my money back.

After our first house had some issues Oak Island Accommodations worked hard to make us happy with a new rental. We loved Sea Fever and can't wait to return!

Our stay was reserved for Sept 15-22. Have called numerous times to only get sent to voicemail. Post stated there would be an email sent out this weekend for those who had scheduled stays for that week however still no word.

My family & I have previously rented from OIA for over 10 years now, every year. We will not ever rent here again. I had a reservation for the week beginning the 15th. Hurricane was coming. I tried desperately all week to get OIA to work out other possible weeks for me to switch to prior to the hurricane. Every response was”oh, we don’t know what’s going to happen. The reason our staff said that you might be able to check-in and we don't know what will happen is b/c every storm is different. We have experienced storms that have blown through quickly with minor damage and visitors were able to come back rather quickly. Unfortunately, Hurricane Florence was a slow moving storm and left a lot of damage in her path flooding our office, damaging homes leaving many without power, sewer and water. we have rented from you several times, it's been a great experience each time. On one trip, we had car issues on the way down, and your staff was able to recommend local places to help us get things fixed.
