I've been taking my dogs here for so many years. Dr. Dave is great but my pup LOVES Dr. Maggie. The Doctors and Staff are all wonderful. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Have been going here for almost 20 years... Dr. Deidre and Dr. Maggie are great. If you go there, ask for one of them. We use them for boarding as well, when we go away. Pricey, but worth it knowing that your animals are right where they can get medical attention if they need it while you're gone. The only negative is there's no reptile vet here. Cats, dogs, birds, bunnies, etc. they can do. Reptiles, nope.

I'm difficult to please but I like Paumanok Veterinary Hospital. And so do our families 4 difficult to please seriously demanding 4 very different personalities pets. We have 2 sweet rabbits: Tiffani and Maverick... and 2 dogs A Lab called Buddy and a Shorkie called Bella. All 4 go to PVH and pet approved Gillette Family approved and recommended. That is the truth from us to you. Pets deserve the best care and it starts at Paumanok.

I love Paumanok. I first brought my deaf rescue Maltese in nearly 3 years ago and while I have never seen any of the Hansens, Dr. Nicolle has been amazing as well as Dr. Maggie. They're transparent, honest and truly for the dogs best interest. They're able to show and validate why they suggest taking action if necessary to keep the dog in the best of health, also recommending what I can do to help maintain care at home (ex. maintain healthy teeth, ears, etc). Writing this review to give a non biased opinion of this practice. I've been taking my pet to Paumanok for eight years now and have had nothing but excellent service. The staff and the vets are all compassionate and understanding when dealing with my dog who's had some issues over the years. I see that the negative reviews on this board mainly concern cost and poor treatment. All I can say is that my experience has been positive in every way. After a horrific experience at another vet, I was on the hunt for a good veterinarian for my dog. I decided to come here on a whim since I pass by it every day, and I'm thrilled that I did. My dog has been seeing Dr. Maggie for about two years and she is excellent. She's very sweet and has a great deal of patience with animals. I enjoyed taking my pit bull Girly to Paumanok, the doctors and staff took good care of her. It was a pleasure to go there they were so loving to Girly and she enjoyed her experience there. Good place for animal care. Shout out to the front desk staff such nice folks.

This hospital gave me a great feeling and eased all worries I had about my pet. They answered questions and addressed concerns I had. I definitely recommend them to anyone. They gave me peace of mind and treated me like family on our FIRST visit. They are very good.

I have been taking my dog and cat here for a few years. I made the change when the "Affordable" pet care clinic at the Brookhaven shelter started raising their prices. It is a nice hospital with vets and technicians that care. All the vets here are good, but my personal favorite is Dr. Maggie. When you take your pet there for a sickness or accident, they will always call the next day to see how he/she is doing. I appreciate that.
