I have been going to Pender for over 10 years eight years with my current Dog and I believe that the Vet that I had yesterday was the best Vet that I ever had. She took care of my dog Nikey and answered all my questions. Madereferences for Services that I could choose to have or not to have. She was fantastic. I wish all of the vets were like her. Sorry I didn’t get her name.

We are helping a 15 year old dog needing to be transported to a state about 1,400 miles from Washington DC after his owner was transferred to a nursing home. The dog had not been to a vet in several years and required vaccinations and loving care. In our discussions with Pender we found very helpful and knowledgeable staff and vets to guide us. Wow, the folks at Pender are amazing. They took wonderful care of our 10-year-old Beagle. She had her spleen removed, which had a large mass. She came through the surgery perfectly, and they were so loving and caring in post op. Thank you to everyone there for taking such good care of our baby girl, Annie.

Dr. Puentes was excellent - she was really gentle with our cat and explained everything she was doing. She followed up soon after with the results of the bloodwork and explanations of what they meant. The support staff was also great.

We saw a different vet today as our usual one has retired or left the practice. Dr. Hyatt was great either way both dogs and gave them thorough exams. The doctor and staff are all friendly and caring. Love that the tech took time to talk Zack through his heartworm test!

Brought my new rescue in to have her checked over as she had recently had some surgeries and to provide her prior medical records. Dr Adesso checked her out and got us set up on meds and prescription food and treats. And as a bonus she took her to meet Dr Hyatt who has treated my last three dogs and will likely be involved with this one as well. We love Pender and Drs Hyatt and Adesso are always there for us.

My dog needed to be seen and my vet didn’t have availability. The office was able to get us in within two hours. Once at the appointment the staff was friendly and saw us quickly. This is a great practice and wouldn’t hesitate to use it again.

This is a very mixed review and experience. I originally took my pet mouse here for end of life care and the vets and staff were AMAZING. They were so knowledgeable and helpful and encouraging, as he was my first mouse and a rescue at that. Absolutely LOVED my experience with the exotics department. Because of this, I decided to take my dogs when they were due for their next wellness exam and heartworm test. The vet I saw was very kind to my dogs, I absolutely cannot complain about that.
