Dr. Voell, our primary care vet, and team, vet techs as well, are exceptional; we've been coming to Pender Veterinary Center for well over 35 years with all five of our dogs because of the care and expertise of the entire team (Drs. Denny & Hiatt as well). No one is more understanding and compassionate than Dr. Voell, always listening to our concerns about our fur children, staying on top of their care needs and making excellent recommendations for their health and well-being. We are relatively new to Pender for regular care for our dog Harley, who is a 9 year old PitBull mix. He recently tore his patella jumping over a fence to chase a fox. We went to Pender for emergency care and they took us in pretty quickly. They came down and took him in on a stretcher since he could not walk. He received top notch care and I felt the rates were good. We are now having regular care for Harley and the Dr. Andrew was great with us and Harley and we are on the road to recovery. We brought our 8 week puppy to Pender for his first appointment with Dr. Andrew Voell. It was an excellent visit where Dr. Voell gently examined our puppy and talked through a well thought out vaccination plan as well as the best food for our puppy. He went over the main things we should work on with our new puppy! To our delight, a tech came in to meet our new puppy because she knows our older dog, also a patient at Pender, so well and wanted to say hi! Great visit. I love how Dr Voell (Andrew) said to call him anytime.

AMAZING!!!! Just amazing! We brought our 4-year-old cat in at 11pm on a weeknight, not breathing. Dr. Shay and her team went to work immediately and got him stabilized. They worked diligently and efficiently through the night, patiently answering questions and doing their absolute best to provide both excellent care and outstanding service. Overall the vet care there is great. I really wish they would re-open the Centreville location or at least fix their elevator. My dog is getting older and all the stairs are getting more difficult for her.
