Will Slater was an absolutely fantastic representative. I could have asked for a better partner during the refinance process. And honestly, without him I would’ve probably walked away. Unfortunately, after the initial business with Will ended and I moved to the Mac Team, it was a horrendous experience. From declining documents incorrectly, never adjusting my closing costs, mis scheduling my closing, then call me during my closing to say that my closing costs had changed yet again.

It took several weeks for penny mac to accept the money in my bank account due to guidelines which would not allow them to recognize I had already withdrawn money they were not counting and so they double subtracted it which was completely ridiculous. The closing process was delayed and it increased the cost to keep the rate I was quoted. No one could explain the 'guidelines' used. Just that the 'underwriting team'made the decision.

Maybe it was just us, but it seems like too many people ended up involved with our loan so continuity of advice and guidance was somewhat lacking.
