We were originally charged $13,000 in origination fees. A ridiculous amount when compared to other lenders only charging 1% of loan or a flat fee. The loan officers never called me back, even after Claudia promised I would hear back by end of day. Matt was horrible but he did negotiate a $2800 credit from origination costs because I was going to cancel the entire loan. So my signing date changed and I wasn’t notified until I called in to confirm. That was the only issue but to me it was significant. A call, a text, an explanation. Besides that Janet was professional and courteous.
My refinance was handled very well. There were some errors along the way. But nothing is ever perfect in this world. And it wasn't that big of a deal to be completely honest with you. I've had PennyMac as my lender for almost 5 years now. I have always been completely satisfied with them. And I was completely satisfied with this process. Mr Martinez was a pleasure to work with. PennyMac was easy to work with and anytime I needed anything all I had to do was call and Glenn would answer all of my questions during the initial process and when I got to the end Iam was there for me.

I was told by Krystal that she would call me to go over the closing disclosures. That call never happened. There was something wrong on the closure documents that I caught and called about. I am not saying that is Krystal's fault but someone else should have caught that. I just felt that things could have gone a bit better. I also sent an email to Krystal in which she stated that she never received but I know that she did because I double checked multiple times to ensure that I did send it to the correct email address.... read more
