My agent moved fast and called me occasionally with updates which was good. I prefer that the team calls me rather than me calling and having to be placed on hold. I also wish their was communications between the teams. My refinance was delayed due to my mortgage payment with pennymac was late, and I had to go make calls to inquire on why my automated mortgage payments were canceled. Apparently the pennymac refinance team and the pennymac mortgage team don't communicate with each other therefore I had to go and make the call... read more
Penny Mac had this loan over 10 years therefor it should not have taken 3 attempts to refinance this loan ….

I communicated my active duty overseas limitations as well as dates that I was going to be on travel from Day 1 yet all concerned parties from both Penny Mac and Old Republic Title had to be repeated informed or reminded and their seemed to be no regard for those circumstances. In addition, both Penny Mac and Old Republic Title continued to try to force me to conduct this closing by taking unnecessary steps that only made it more difficult for me. The figures from the underwriter and the unilateral change from what was the final closing figures to what was offered in the initial offer were much different. The offer was for a lower interest rate and lower time terms than the final. Almost "bait and switch" operation.
Whole process went very smooth and communication was great. No delays in closing which was a relief
