This was my dog's first time ever being boarded, and I am beyond disappointed. The night I brought him home, he was coughing, gagging, and throwing up all night. He clearly came home with kennel cough. Hopefully nothing worse. I watched the cameras throughout his entire stay and never saw him outside or playing. When I finally called to ask why, I was told the dogs are only let out for about 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon, meaning they're locked in their kennels for 23 hours a day. This is our 3rd and last time here. Everytime we book an additional service (bath or nail trim) when we go to pick him up they still have not completed the additional service. We were told some kind of excuse about how the groomers make commission and the scheduling is terrible? - so it seems that they don't have any plans to actually make things better for their customers. I dropped my off my 1 yr old Shihtzu for doggie day camp yesterday and picked her up around 4 pm. Her paws smelled like she had been standing in urine, it was disgusting. It had dried and you could smell the scent coming off of her. We had a 2.5 hr drive back to Raleigh afterwards. Also, once we got in the car she started barking hysterically to use the bathroom. In my opinion your animals will be neglected at pet paradise boyer street charlotte nc. I worked there for over 3 years and seen too many dogs sit in their filth, not being fed property or at all. There is bugs infesting the dogs outside space. None of them get the full play time as promised. Ive seen dogs go days without eating. As long as they get a bath the day they leave and keep all the food they didnt feed the pups. I have used pet paradise in the past and had good experiences. however, this past weekend, I had two of my pets scheduled to board overnight. I received a text and email that they needed updated vaccination records. I got the information from the vet and emailed them. I told them if they needed anything further to let me know. I called the same afternoon to make sure the booking was confirmed and I received confirmation. We have had pleasant experiences with them for boarding in the past, which is the only reason they get 2 stars. But we had the worst experience I've had yet with our dogs and grooming here. We just got our golden retriever back and they absolutely BOTCHED his poor fur. Don't waste your money filling out the stuff online - they clearly don't read it and front desk admitted this when we questioned why we needed to fill out a paper form with all of the same info. I was so excited for my puppy to be here. I brought him here for daycare and he only got about 20 minutes of playtime because of the heat. Apparently the pool and the sprinklers don't mean a lot to the staff. I then brought him for boarding and paid for extra puppy time. Again, he was only out about 20 minutes in 48 hours. I also packed treats for him for a.m. and p.m. and he got none of them. They were all packed in his bag . very unimpressed . Don't know what has changed but this once really great facility has gone downhill! Boarded our two dogs for 4 nights , picked them up on Sunday only to find them covered in poop . They insisted they had bathed them, and one was a little damp, but they were disgusting. Got refunded on baths but felt that the good care they once received was sorely lacking. Don't know if management has changed or if grooming lacks help? Sure hope it gets back to the great service they formerly had...

If you love your pet, don't send them here!!!!! I'm also updating my review here. As stated last week. We dropped both our dogs off for a weeks stay on May 25th. As we returned to Charlotte on Wednesday May 31 we received a text shortly before we left Charlotte Douglas airport. Apparently one of our younger dog had an allergic reaction and had literally licked the skin off of one of his paws and was working on the other 3.
