Pitiful packaging ... loose screws - crushed parts This is our THIRD Polaris 65. We have been using this exact product for the past 21 seasons and it works great, but after time, the hoses, flexing so much, crack, etc. It's usually more cost effective to just buy a brand new one than to replace parts. HOWEVER, this one came damaged right out of the box. The yoke that holds the catch basket was packaged under other items and is mashed so badly, it will not straighten back out (photo coming). Used item When I opened the damaged box I noticed that while the hoses were new, the Polaris itself had multiple scratches and buff marks. Because my old one had not been working for awhile I ignored it. I set it up and it ran itself into a tight circle just like the old one. I purchase these from reputable retailers (normally) and they only last about 2 years, as I run them 24/7 365 days a year. When the item works, they are priceless. Waste of money Like all the others, the unit would back up and get entangled within itself. One of the jets would never work properly. The seller would not exchange for the price that I paid for it. After I purchased the cleaner and it would not work, the price on Amazon had gone up. I was told I had to return the cleaner and get a refund and then repurchase the same product at the higher price. Really? What a total joke!
It’s not worth the money The Polaris wheels keep coming off. We have to constantly check the pool and the net to make sure we don’t throw the wheels away. This should not happen. This makes the Polaris not work properly.
Broken wheel on hose This would of been great but a couple wheels on hose were cracked. This appeared used.
One of the threaded fittings on the holes with crack totally and half on one side One fittings on the hose that screws onto the body was cracked totally in half I had to put a screw clamp to keep it in place
Polaris 65 Doesn't Work The media could not be loaded. First, the hose arrived blowing out air from where it connects to the unit. Sent a video, as requested, and was sent a replacement only to find that not all the jets work which means this thing only goes in circles and becomes one big tangled mess very quickly. Doesn't come with proper fittings Was so excited to purchase this item. Read reviews about how it flies around the pool so fast that the net doesn' stay on the bottom of the pool and you have to adjust the air intake for that.... Mine hardly moves at all. In fact if I want the bottom of my pool clean I have to stand out there with it and move it around myself manually. What good is that?! Worked for a day, manufacturer won't help despite warranty Works great when it works, however: - There are many pages online of people who have the same issue with these, specifically that it eventually stops moving forward/backward at random which is what is required for it to perform correctly. There is a randomizer ball inside a tube that is supposed to block water flow at random from one of four tubes, this causes the device to move at random so that it will not become tangled.
