A must read. The description is not complete. What you don't see is a float hose that has to be cut 4' from the furthest point in your pool. The surface module (shown) floats on top of the water. A sweep hose is attached to the bottom of the surface module (must be cut to 2 feet longer than the deepest part of your pool) and extends down to a jet sweep assembly that is pulled around the bottom of your pool by water emitting from the end of the hose. a clean pool / no longer working The install was straight forward and easy. At first I was thinking we made a mistake buying this, it didn't seem to do much the first ten minutes I watched it. I was pleasantly surprised when I returned to the pool about an hour later and all the leaves were gone. This cleaner works and has continued to work great for us.***3/22/17 we've had this for just under one year and it has stopped working. I've replaced the piston and O rings with no luck. Disappointed it hasn't lasted.
Good with faults. When these work they are the best but in 4 yrs this is my 3rd one. Seems like every year I am having to replace it. For some reason its always the same problem only half of the jets work so it goes in circles and get tied up in its own hose and flips over. Needless to say when it flips over it shoots water out of the pool and if your not around it can actually bring your water level below your inlet and get air in the system.
Good Product. Decided to vacuum pool just to see ... Good Product. Decided to vacuum pool just to see how well this product worked after 2 months. Guess What? Not even an ounce of dirt on bottom seriously. I can tell you the only reason I am giving 4 stars is due to if you turn pressure all the way up sometimes it will flip over and you will then water your lawn. If you keep pressure lower than full power you are good to go. No problems.
Pleased So Far.... Seems to be working great so far. Without it, we would not be able to enjoy our pool as we have a large pecan tree over it. Hopefully it will last us a few seasons. Previously had the Polaris Turbo Turtle - first one worked great for 3-4 season; the last one, we only got one season out of. Trying this in hopes we get a few seasons out of it. Please so far...fingers (and toes) crossed.
GET THIS! I have had such a hard time with keeping my pool clean in years past. I was tempted to shut the pool down this year and give up. I ordered this vacuum and it changed everything. I just keep it connected everyday. Since it connects to the out-feed of the water it doesn't get clogged or bog down the filter pump. I used this all summer and my pool has been crystal clear the whole summer. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED! I read the directions when I started using it and have had no problems. A 2 speed pump with a low setting would most likely be a better pairing. Because of these issues The vacuum tends to get caught up in its own hose. Also, it does not work under the pressure of a 1hp pump as it moves to fast. There is a valve that can reduce the pressure, but I still feel that it moves faster than it ought too keep the bag on the pool floor. A 2 speed pump with a low setting would most likely be a better pairing. Because of these issues, it does not always clean the entire pool (24' above ground).
Good vac for leaves After reading some of the negative reviews about this product, I was a little leary, and after the first few times of operation I was even learier as it did roll over and sprayed water everywhere, and got tangled up as a lot of people said, but after making the adjustments with the output that were recommended in the instructions, I have not had a problem. Great product - as expected We like this vac. It is not perfect, but one of the best we've seen and worked with at this price range. If you want anything better, you'll need to spend a lot more money. I would purchase this again and recommend it. Note, it did not come with great instructions, but we went on line and found the information we needed. I believe my husband had a question and contacted the company and they were quick and very helpful. He was very pleased.
