Do NOT buy Ordered and out of the box the jets that power the unit did not work. Returned got a second unit. The jets failed after the equivalent of one season, about 4 months. The vendor who I purchased it from referred me to the Polaris people who said I had to get it fixed locally and they referred me to a store in my city. The store said they do not work on the Polaris 65. Contacted the Polaris people no response as yet.
Lasted one season. After one season the randomizer doesn't work half of the time. The inside shaft gets stuck in the forward position. Shaft has a lot of scratches, probably due to the inline filter allowing sand into the randomizer chamber. I didn't expect to scrap this thing after one summer.
Polaris 65 Doesn't Work The media could not be loaded. This is my second Polaris and both have the same issue, one of the jets doesn't work which causes the vac to move in circles, getting tangled na cutover each time. Good concept if it worked, but it does not. Save your money!

Tangles up on itself and stays in 1 place. I had high hopes for this product. It is easy to install but it pulls to the right and ends up in a tangle just next to the return.
This item still needed parts in order to be used I purchased this item for my above ground pool.. after putting it together I learned that I still needed to purchase an additional piece in order for me to actually use it… which was very disappointing..
Worked for a couple days It worked great for about 3 days, then kept going in circles and wrapping around like a snake by the outlet. Took about 2-3 minutes to get completely tangled up. Surprised Polaris puts out cheap stuff.
DISAPPOINTED IN LONG TERM PERFORMANCE I HAVE BOUGHT SEVERALPOLARIS 65 S OVER THE YEARS. FOR THE MOST PART THEYB WORKED VERY WELL . THE LAST ONE WAS TERRIBLE. I TRIED EVERYTHING. REPLACED THE UNIT INSIDE THE FLOATING SHELL 3 TIMES. IT WOULD WORK WELL FOR A SHORT PERIOD AND THEN JUST COIL UP NEAR THE SKIMMER. FINALLY GAVE UP AND BOUGHT A UNIT THAT OPOERATED OFF SUCTION. WORKS GREAT. STILL DOING THE JOB IN ITS SCEOND SEASON. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER POLARIS
Does not work We followed the installation instructions perfectly, even watched a few videos, and it still tangled up in itself. There is a drop ball type mechanism within the cleaner that is supposed to move around, blocking off one of the four jets at any given time so that it will change directions. This mechanism worked for the first day and then immediately stopped. The seller “approved” our return even though I said that it was used but their return policy states that it has to be unused.
