Does a good job when new and working properly. This is are third unit within a 5 year period. Their downfall is that simply do not last more than a year to 18 months. They have all failed in this time period. Resulting in them taking on water causing the unit to disfunction. Will not buy again.
It doesn't suck, it Blows. Be very aware that this product is not a vacuum. It hooks to your return line and blows the dirt into the little leaf bag. We did not know this so this required us to redo all of the plumbing on our pool. Also, do not follow the installation instructions. Watch the YouTube videos. The included instructions will have you cutting your hoses too short. Luckily my husband prefers to watch a video so we were saved that tragedy. That being said, my pool has never been cleaner! It is quiet and easy to use... read more
Great product I purchased this to replace one I've had for almost 10 years. It works great. People who are having problems with it should check the water flow going into it. If it's too fast, it will skim across the bottom too fast to pick up anything. Start out slowly and gradually turn up the pressure when you start getting debris in the net. If it's going around and winding up on itself, then check to see if your hose is twisted.
Is it WORTH it? PRO: works as advertised..........about half the time(for me). slow working but does pickup leaves from bottom of pool. easy to install.CON: kept getting wrapped up in its own hoses was disappointed in performance after spending $190. especially after I went to Walmart and bought a $15 wide mouth scooper and completed the job ,that I intended the bot to do, in the time it took to set the bot up and get it started.
Awesome pool vacuum! I ansolutely love this pool vacuum! It was do easy to install and works like a dream! It glides around on the top of the water, and the "tail" has a fine mesh basket attached that is drawn behind it puckung up all the debris from the pool bottom..Its very efficient, and since it attaches to the return, requires no electricity to operate.Theres no fown side to this product, i would recommend it to anyone loomung for a pool vacuum.
good for my pool picks up most of the debris on the bottom of my pool. After the second day in the pool I noticed a rubber disc in my skimmer basket. I checked the polaris and it was one of the rubber disc off of it. I have looked all over my pool and can't find i
Does not function well at all I had replaced this unit 4 times in the pass 3 years. I had parts...hoses, i was told to leave the hose in the sun to get ginks out, reduce the pressure, internal mechanism, whole product. The first unit worked for about 2 weeks. After that it was all down hill. The unit would not go in an opposite direction, hose would tangle, the unit would back up and get entangled in itself. Reducing the pressure did not work, I was even told to remove the pressure completly. Well, with that, no movement. Af... read more
Best. Vac. Ever!!! I love this vac!!! I have had pools for much of my life and have used several types of vacuums. This is by far the best! Our pool is surrounded by trees and we were in a constant battle to keep the leaves out. This little vac is amazing! It was a breeze to install and other than occasionally getting hung up on the pool ladder (not the vac's fault, the ladder is bent and leaves a gap just the right size) it has worked wonders. We leave it going day and night and our pool is always clean and ready for a swim... read more
Very thin opening on the front of the net? this thing might suck a few leaves at a time in the bag, but I just watched it bust up a pile of leaves and ultimately just pushed them around. The opening on the net is so thin, I don’t understand that? If it runs across a clump of leaves, maybe 3 will go in. May only be useful for a pool that is already free of leaves and using it to maintain. I bet this thing won’t even keep up with the tree I have dropping them
