Great replacement valve Our valve had finally cracked which meant our little robot wasn't able to putz around and clean the pool...something I discovered after looking out our window to find our pool had turned green. This valve was over half the price of purchasing it at our local Leslie's Pool and has been working great ever since I installed it. Installation took under 10 minutes and it has been going for almost 6 months now!
Does the job A great deal cheaper than the local pool shop and works as it should.This is the complete unit not just a replacement casing or internal components.Although 8 years old breakage was most likely caused by a float gradually working back on the tubing resulting in the back up valve dragging along the pool surface instead of being suspended above the cleaner.
Half the price on Amazon than in pool stores! Great product at half the price the chain pool stores try to charge you! Very happy with purchase, works great and shoots the pool sweep all over the pool in no time. Back up valve keeps it going back and forth all over the pool. Our pool has never been kept so clean on the bottom. Even after a storm we toss it in the pool and it has it crystal clean in very little time. Highly recommend, trusted name in pool products.
Saving Money! I have a Polaris 380 that suddenly fell apart in the pool. When I checked and looked closely the back up valve split right in half. I used to just call the pool service and have them replace it but every time they come it costs far too much money. I looked up the part on Amazon, ordered it and installed it 2 days later. It was a simple enough installation and the Polaris is now jutting around the pool just fine. Highly recommended!
I install this and works like new again My 14 year old Polaris 280 was acting up , running on its side and floating around at times . Turns out this part was not sealing off completely during the "run" part of cycle actually holding the 280 back . I install this and works like new again . FYI I actually thought this was going to be a Generic part but was pleasantly surprised to see that it is a Genuine Polaris Part . Fits correctly and reinvigorated my Polaris 280 Fits perfectly. My Polaris 280 is now zipping around the pool again. I was not able to open the old backup valve to see the actual issue because of the plastic welding together. I determined the old valve was bad by taking it out and connecting the hose directly to the Polaris 280. The Polaris moved fast, but got stuck. Original manufacturer replacement part and my Polaris is up and running again My old one started spraying all the time including serious leakage through the main compartment seams. It was making my Polaris 180 inoperable. This is an original manufacturer replacement part and works great. Easy install and my unit once again backs out of blockages caused by the pool steps and benches.Can't beat the price (exactly 1/2) compared to purchasing at the local pool supply store.
Works perfectly Perfect. My backup device died years ago and I just replaced it with a swivel, as the cost from the pool store was pretty exorbitant. But it I did find the sweep would occasionally get stuck, and this device is what's needed to keep this from happening. I installed it and it works perfectly.
