Good quality valve replacement for Zodiac pool cleaner After having issues with my pool cleaner getting stuck in corners I decided to investigate. Seems likely these valves can break and when they do you can tell because water will continually pump out rather than the strong spurts every so often. I bought this and now cleaner works fine...no more getting trapped!!
Good product, communications eiffy I have a 10 year old Polaris 280. It stopped working effectively. Did some research and ordered backup valve. First order was damaged. It took a several communications (thus 4 star review) to get a replacement sent but eventually one was sent. Easy to install and thus far (about a month) the product works great. Like I have a new Polaris. Hope it last.
Great Customer Service when product failed. This went from a possible 1 to a 5. I purchased this 4 months ago and it has already failed. The company made it a 5 by making it really easy to return. Great source for replacement part Ordered to replace the original backup valve on my Polaris 280 which was put into service in March 2015. The original valve lasted around 3 years. This is replacement is original Polaris equipment that installed in minutes. Does not come with new securing nuts so be sure to hold onto the original ones to use on the new valve. Very happy with the price and delivery took about 6 days.
Fits perfectly and works fine. I would buy this again Ran down to the pool store one Saturday to buy this as a replacement for ours that had kicked the bucket. I was SHOCKED to see it priced at $95.99!! Decided to check Amazon and found the exact same thing for almost half the price. Came right away, fits perfectly and works fine. My Back Up Valve Works Again!! Bought this as part of a maintenance rebuild for my Zodiac - the old one no longer reversed and was basically 'welded' shut (couldn't open). Went ahead and bought this instead of the rebuild kit - boy am I glad I did! Was very easy to drop this sucker in, with my new hose, and have had zero problems since. My only complaint is that the original part lasted only 1 year before developing a circumferential crack. After reading several online reviews, I see that this is typical.
didn't last long the backup valve is a great tool for the Polaris pool cleaner, however the one I purchased in June 2015 has disintegrated on the top half in less than 2 years. The solid top half has split about 90% around causing it to separate from the lower half. This one was a replacement for the original backup valve that came with the Polaris unit. It split in the same place but that was after 10+ years of operation. Disappointed in the working life of this product.
Erratic Polaris? You probably have a worn out valve! Great replacement for OEM valve and much cheaper than at brand name pool stores. I love my Polaris 280 pool cleaner but after 7+ years of almost daily use, my Polaris didn't seem to be running properly anymore, often getting stuck and moving erratically.
