Polaris G52 Back-up Valve Assembly. This is a factory original Polaris replacement back up valve. It has a timer mechanism inside that diverts water out of a jet every 5-10 minutes. This jet acts as a back up, pulling the cleaner out from the pool floor or wall. There is an arrow on one side of the hose barb that should face towards the cleaner. Easy to install I admit. I had to go to the AOL to get instructions to install it but got it installed in less than 10 minutes and my Polaris is working good as new! Thank you for the quick delivery too!

Good quality I bought a two pack knock off brand and they both broke in less than 6 months.I found this one and it is built solid and has been running strong for almost a year.I just wish I could find a protector for the threaded ring since it wears down at that location.
