I was skeptical at first, however all skepticism is gone! We love it. Cleans very well.
Love this cleaner. I was encouraged to buy a Dolphin X4s after one week I returned it and purchased the Polaris 825. I am very happy I did. It cleans much better and I like the option of cleaning only the bottom or both sides and bottom. It also has different surface options. I highly recommend this unit.
To my surprise this model picks up also fine sand, something I was not expecting. My pool is cleaner than ever. Absolutely worth every penny.
I bought this mid November 2017, so far it does a great job cleaning every area of my pool. Climbs the walls and steps with ease, also the filter basket is a cinch to get out and hose off! So far, so good!
Great concept. The area covered by the cleaner is cleaned wonderfully but for this much money I'd expect more intelligence such as faster auto-reverse once the tracks start spinning without the cleaner moving forward and more thorough coverage of the pool (better "mapping") and adding a little programming "smarts" such as the ability to have the cleaner automatically run every 2nd or 3rd day.

Great pool cleaner!
Have had it less than two years - it’s been at a repair shop now for about a month still waiting for parts to arrive from Polaris. It had stopped working due to a communication issue to the unit. Prior to that the tracks often fell off during operation. So overall not been a good experience.

I bought a P825 less than 2 months ago and have returned it. One track had come off twice, and then I found broken pieces off a roller in the bottom of my pool. I had a used 825 that worked well, but this new one broke without even 2 months of use.
