It was all good until the lid was damaged and you can’t find the replacement parts. We’ve had ours less than a year, very disappointing.

It doesn't turn on with the first press of the on/off button, you have to press it a few times. It gets stuck on the corners of the steps so you can't leave it to run on its own for very long.

Our Polaris P825 would not start after (26 months of ownership), of course the warranty was no good after 24 months. The pool cleaner is now at Leslie's and the diagnostics shows the motor to be bad and will cost us over $500.00 to replace the motor. We paid over $1000.00 for this cleaner when we purchased it. We have seen several reviews with the same diagnosis and want to know why this motor last only 26 months. When the cleaner was in working order we were very please with the performance, however we are know disappoi... read more

The cleaner works great. Problem is it gets stuck on the lower drain cover and can’t get itself off. So I have to keep an eye on the cleaners and move it constantly. Beware if you have a safety cover on the drain the cleaner may get stuff. Unfortunately my old Polaris broke and now I’m stuck with this one. I really do not want to have a pool guy come in and change the drain cover in the deep end.

Gets up small particles including sand which is great! I have to run it for at least 2 cycles in a 20 ft. X 40 ft. pool to get everything off the bottom. Keep an eye on it though because it gets stuck on top off the main drain and I have to push it off with a pole. Much better than my old 280 which lasted 12 years. Came with a cart!

The control unit failed twice. I have 2 unit The power transistors burn out frequently, poor design and poor customer service.

The robot works great but I wish the basket was designed to collect smaller particles.

It’s been a godsend since installing our pool and getting rid of the small dirt without breaking our backs to manually vacuum!!

It doesn't stand up against dolphin products. It is advertised to be a smart robotic cleaner but the base model dolphin cleaners do more than Polaris. Polaris doesn't even honor rebate promotions that meet the criteria; only to refuse you after you purchased the product and give you a runaround for 30 days or more. Which go past the in-store product return date.
