My Polaris P825 Robotic Pool Cleaner does a nice job. It has a good sized pickup basket and covers the pool quite well. It definitely saves me time and effort.

It takes 3 to 4 full cycles to clean the whole pool. Misses many areas.

Essentially, you should only allow enough cable into the pool to cover the furthest point from the cable entry location in the pool.
