On start up, the pressure relief valve was opening up. I had to change it out to my old one to get the unit to run. After running for a short time, it started running on its side. Pulled it out and found the float head was full of water. Polaris (Fluidra) would not send replacement parts, so now I am having to take it to Leslie’s that is 1 1/2 hours away.

The tail continues to be sucked up through the vacuum hole. One of the wheels fell off twice. The vacuum bags that are purchased to be attached to the Polaris 280 are cheap. Some have lasted for exactly one day.

If the sweeper hose is getting sucked up into the debris bag, make sure the orifice at the end of the sweep hose is not blocked by the sweep hose scrubber. You can also try adjusting the sweep hose to a more gentle sweeping motion. Tightening the screw decreases the sweeping motion and vice versa. Unable to keep hose on back up valve. Keeps coming off. Did I get a bad machine??? Also I had store clerk help me send rebate request and I received an email asking me “if it was really me”???? Haven’t received a thing back. Purchased at Leslie’s Pools. So I have a brand new vac that needs repair!!!!
