The VRX iQ+ replaces my old Polaris that lasted close to ten years. It cleans the pool well. My only criticism is the cord gets twisted easily. However, after trying a cordless model that didn't perform as well, I'll stick with the corded.

Here are some suggestions to improve the cord tangling issue: 1) Remove the cleaner from the pool and lay the cable across the pool deck to relieve coiled memory. 2) Allow the cleaner cable to enter the pool at the center of the length of the pool 3) Only use enough cable to reach the farthest point from the cable entry location 4) Gently toss the necessary cable across the pool water for even distribution instead of dropping the cable in a lump in one spot. Had the VRX IQ+ SPORT and liked it. This is even better, with floor mapping and what seems like a stronger motor. The app works well for me and the ability to steer the unit is helpful. My only problem with the Sport was the electronics failed after 3 years. Really hope this one last longer or may not be worth the price. Maybe they could offer a longer warranty or a warranty extension offer at a reasonable price

Easy to deploy and pretext and does great job on picking up everything. Unit is a bit heavy if you are not able to lift 15+ lbs

I bought my first Polaris VRX IQ+ three and a half years ago. I have for the most part been running my VRX IQ+ every day for 2 hours and 45 minutes. It never gave me any trouble for the most part. It stopped working at 1 year 11 months but was covered under warranty and back running less than a week and then got another 1.5 years for 3.5 years. It might be pricey at $1650 but it has been extremely dependable. I can't say that about the dolphin products I used. So now I have bought my second Polaris VRX IQ+. It looks the same... read more
