Think twice before you order It does waste much more rave than I expected. Keypad is not easy to use either.
No cord? And need several batteries? A bad purchase.
Gives a 1 inch left margin on EVERY label! Don't be fooled by the photos. Every time you print a label there's a 1" left margin. It has a mode where it'll mark with two dots where to cut the label to get smaller margins. And another mode where it has equal 1" ("large") margins on both sides. It seems every Brother TZ tape model has this problem - I bought this one (my 2nd) hoping it's be better, but it's the same. The M tape models don't have this problem. (But M tape isn't laminated and fades in sunlight.) It's not so much ... read more
Look for another company and product! I bought this a while ago when the original one: Brother P-Touch PT-85 Home &Hobby III Label Maker started dying. They apparently are not making it anymore and are selling this monstrosity instead. It comes with 3 pages of instructions that are complicated w/multiple options that you have to spend hours reading and practicing to see if you have right. The LCD is practical impossible to read, as it an error you make. Nothing is alphabetical, so you have to go back thru all the instruction... read more
Sample tape didn’t work Sample tape did not work. Brothers solution is to send a sample tape so I have to wait another week and see if that works.
Eats batteries! I just got my label maker today and was excited to use it. Apparently bought one with extra tapes instead of a 9V adapter cord so I put SIX new AAA batteries in, kept it powered off while I did some work around the house, and then was ready to give it a try. In the middle of printing, I got an error that the batteries were too low! Seriously! Plugged it in to another 9V adapter and kept getting the error but was at least able to restart and finish the print. I'm seriously debating sending this back just becau... read more
Too much waste! It prints fine, but wastes over an inch of material for every label!
Two went bad… I’ve purchased two of these. One stopped working after about a year. The second stopped working after only two weeks. The ink gets blotched/unreadable. I contacted the company and he told me to wipe the inside with a q-tip. It didn’t work.
Very poor for labeling CAT or COAX cables This is a nice little label maker for general use. If you are looking to do cablewrap labels on CAT or COAX cables, this is a poor choice. The printer accepts a maximum 1/2" width labels and that's too narrow to wrap around CAT/COAX. This printer only support flag type cable labels.
