Better then the older model I had the older model, and it quit feeding tape. So I purchased this one, because it had an option of a power cord to plug it in, instead of replacing batteries all the time

You need to have a scissor with you at all times! Before buying the label maker I read a lot of people complain about wasted tape over and over and I didn't think that was an issue for me. I don't use the label maker much so if the machine needed to leave extra tape on the side I was fine with it. BUT, what I didn't expect was the fact that there was no way to cut that excess tape with the label maker! So basically every label that gets printed the label maker needs to leave 2.5cm worth of tape on the left. No matter how sho... read more

A bit complicated It is somewhat complicated to use and I end up having to trim each label. Also, the cartridge recently jammed and I cannot repair it our get it out.

The view window is cloudy. I don't like the product. The printing window is cloudy, I can't see what I'm printing. What can I do to correct this problem?

Need to use with scissors :( I used to have a Brother label maker and when you cut it, you could just peel and stick. This unit requires using scissors to trim the label before sticking if you don't want your label to look awkward.

Extra tape at beginning Like others have said, the extra tape at the beginning of the print is very annoying. For those who want a perfectly cut edge, this is not the label maker for you. The font preview on the screen looks nothing like the actual font so it is hard to determine what the print will look like.

Wasteful & Printing I wanted to update my label maker from the old Brother PT-65 which I still own and works great. I do a lot of labeling and I wanted another for another floor of my house. I was drawn to the looks a functionality of the PTH110. One of the most disappointing features is the printing and how much tape it Wastes. If you select the smallest font, it still prints out a long and wasteful strip. Longer than the PT-65. It's obvious that this was to waste tape and make customers to purchase more Brother tape. Print... read more

Wastes a ton of tape Wastes a huge amount of tape unless you set it up just right. Returns to awful default settings when you remove the batteries. Labels are great and last a long time, even in the sun.

Probably not “brand new in box” While the item appeared to be brand new in box, with all the proper contents (manual, etc) the display screen was cloudy and scratched. This is not a brand new in box item, I can tell it has been used, but I am too impatient and lazy to contact the seller with the opportunity to make it right, for $30, I’ll just live with it since it works great and I need to start using it right away for a time sensitive project.
