We thought that if a vet comes recommended from a rescue organization they would be more understanding towards rescue dogs without any judgements or impolite comments to their parents. Today was Cramer's second visit to your hell's kitchen office. First time was a couple of weeks back on his fourth day with us and even after taking him for a long walk before he was petrified at the doctor's office and pooped. Nurse (Sean) was seen dragging him and eventually carried him - which we understand. Today morning was his second ... read more

The service of this clinic is terrible. The staff is very forgetful and make me waste a lot of time. They seem to be more focused on getting as much money they can get from you, instead of recommending the right thing for your pet. In many occasions they have prescribed medications to my pets, but they give me less medication than the recommended dose, making make me pay extra for their mistake. The youngest of my cats was vaccinated twice with the same things in less that a month, meaning that the vet didn't even read the d... read more

I'm fostering a dog who has gotten sick. I called Pure Paws because they were the first vet to open in the morning. I explained the situation and they told me they could see me at any time between 8am and 5pm. I walked this poor coughing dog fifteen blocks to be seen, and they told me I couldn't be seen without an appointment. I explained that 45minutes earlier I was told the opposite, but the front desk didn't care. I had to take this struggling doggo all the way home to find a better-organized vet.

first visit was great. very informative, patient, friendly and Erik followed up the next day w a phone call. 5 stars. every visit since has been way too much for what we got: premium price and no follow up. i called and was told they would call me back and never did- weeks have gone by and still no results for blood work i paid almost $400 for. where are my lab results for Charles? 2 stars

Let me first start with my great experience the first time I came here two weeks ago. We just moved here from San Diego, CA and I was so excited to have a vet right around the corner from my apartment. Stephanie, the vet, and her tech were amazing. Stephanie taught me all I needed to know about getting my mini husky up to date with all of these new NYC shots he needed. Stephanie told me to come back in a couple weeks, no appointment necessary, for a quick booster shot for Leptospirosis. She said it would be quick and easy, i... read more

This Vet service is run by pretty decent trained vets and their assistants but unfortunately (and severely) handicapped by their careless and pretty much useless administrative, front desk staff. In my past few experiences with them. They have: 1) issued wrong medication 2) issued wrong dosage of the correct mediation 3) unable to take reservations when there were obviously open slots on their website (puts you on hold for 5 minutes) 4) calls you occasionally regarding another customers' pets - potential privacy issues ... read more

Plus: appointments can be available last minute and the accept Apple Pay. Close to home. Minuses: Too expensive for what it is. Brought my dog in for standard shots and the costs reached nearly $600+. Yes, $600+ for standard dog shots. They also don't quote you real numbers on the phone because the staff at the desk have no idea. At least they give you plan A and B once you wrap with the vet. Prices are given to you by the tech in the room--one is the "cheaper option" and the other is the "premium" which has all of the bel... read more

Incredibly disorganized staff that makes it very difficult to get the proper care in a proper time for our dog. Appointments were consistently on their books for the wrong procedures (to the point where we showed up and were told that our dog would be having a totally different procedure than was scheduled and then being sent home after we corrected them). Times for appointments were wrong on several occasions causing missed work for us and delays for our dog. It's a shame because the actual doctors seem quite nice and helpf... read more
