Received a notice that New York State Education Department started investigating Ashley Cheung's professional misconduct on May 16, 2022. I've hesitated to write this review for a while but now, I'm left with no choice. On the surface they seem "nice" but in actuality it's a pure Manhattan money grab. Many, not all but many, of the service people put up a facade and pretend to care. In all honesty, I'm quite disappointed. Money isn't an issue for me. That said, I have reservations about taking my puppy to a place where people see dollar signs before they see him. I am sorry, those who give out that many stars are either independently wealthy with low body temperature... This place is just like McDonald's softserve machine, everytime I visited, the AC at this clinic is broken. Literally, hot as hell here at the Hell's Kitchen location. There has been a frequent turnover in veterinary and office staff and this has me concerned for the stability, longterm health and well being of our dog. Initially, we had a pretty good experience but now when I walk our dog past the building where this vet is located, she pulls away hard on the leash in great distress. I'll take the cue from her and look for a more agreeable, and, affordable veterinary practice.

I wrote a stellar review 9 months ago when I brought in my male dog for an emergency situation. I was in tonight with my female dog to see Dr Cheung, while she is showing signs of sickness. I was very clear that I wanted to know the costs from Dr Cheung before taking any actions. I was quoted $500 for an in-house urine analysis and a sample sent out to a lab. Have been here in the past ,mainly because it was close by. On both occasions, medications were left out, delaying care. I get the impression that the focus is on charging as much as possible, not so much concern for actual patient care. I would not recommend this practice and I do not usually post negative reviews.

Very disappointed with our experience. We were prescribe medication for our dog but a dose a missing even though we paid for the full prescription. I called and left a message but got no response. I called again and the staff said they would call me back when the dose was ready. Two days later and still no response and so I called them back. Don't go if you have any other choice. Unprofessional, disrespectful, and over priced with poor service. So here is how story went.. I have moved to this neighborhood in October, and brought my cat to this vet for his annual health check.
