Food was great. Server was extremely pleasant, but spent a bit too much time on pleasantries. My wife’s food came. But not her prosecco. We waited awhile. We could’ve see it a few feet away on the bar. Couldn’t get his attention. Finally a managerial type person walked by and overheard us and brought over my wife’s drink. This place has been around for decades and is a classic. I’ve come dozens of times of the last 15 years. On our most recent visit (Saturday brunch) they were extremely understaffed. Seriously, the host had to go help bus our table. So yes, service was quite annoyingly slow. But food was still on point and the quality of the interactions with the staff were a high note. The “dancing” shrimp are still amazing and a crowd pleaser.

Sehr gutes Essen! Im Vergleich zu Restaurants in der Nähe etwas teurer. Wir mussten anfangs länger als üblich warten, waren dann aber mit dem Service überaus zufrieden. Insbesondere der Ober Dean war absolut super.

Excellent venue pre-Carnegie Hall. Food very well prepared and plated. Waiter staff somewhat overtaxed and underrepresented. Whole sea bass was excellent as was the wedge salad and calamari.
