Get directionsWe have eaten here many times, but found our latest visit disappointing. The tables for two are quite close in typical NY fashion, but the gentleman at the table next to us was so loud that we were unable to have a conversation and they moved our table closer to him during the meal to give the couple on our other side room to get into their seat. Service was also only mediocre - expect more from Redeye. When our food was served the waiter did not come by to ensure that everything was good. I had finished my wine with my appe... read more
Food very good. Waiters for the most part very efficient. But having to finish my salad while they're holding my entrée put a damper on my good time!
Visiting from Philadelphia. Went for our 50th anniversary. Couldn't have been treated better. Everyone was friendly and made us feel special. Even gave us complimentary champagne. Nice romantic table, good food, great waiter. Strongly recommend the restaurant.
We are twice for dinner and both times the service was excellent, the food terrific and the experience great
The food was very good, the service intermediate. We were seated next to an aisle and spent the entire dinner with waiters rushing past us. If we would return, I would make sure I was seated far away from the main server routes.
A dear old friend of mine lives abroad and every October comes to NYC on a business trip, he misses good American Bistro style food, and REDEYE Grill is one of his favorite spots, if for nothing else but the amazing Lobster Cobb Salad. As far as great American Bistro's that would include some of Chicago's finest, REDEYE stands on it's own with need to compare. If you want steak and lobster and an over sized amazing hot dog, then The REDEYE Grill is your premier dinning choice.
Nice funny waiter, amazing food, good ambiance musicians...a perfect dinner!!!
In the Carnegie Hall area, there aren't too many great options for brunch, but this is one. Wish the prices were a little lower, but the food is good, and the tables are well-spaced to ensure conversation.
This was my 3rd visit to Redeye over 5 years. They have dependably very good food. This year service was not as good as before, but very acceptable. Prices seemed to have gone up. This is a $$$$ or $$$$$ restaurant!
