I love coming here for seafood before going to Carnegie Hall or other events in this neighborhood. The food is always good, the wait staff is professional, and when I have a reservation I'm never made to wait.
We started with the Smoked Salmon Flatbread which was light and tasty. We were served various breads that had little flavor without adding some olive oil. We followed that with the Jumbo Lump Crab California Sushi Roll. It was good, not great, and overpriced for a standard size roll. My guest had the Braised Short Ribs over mashed potatoes and green beans, which was a generous portion and delicious. I ordered the individual seafood platter. It was quite small and overpriced as well. The tuna tartar on the platter was dry and... read more
I specifically went to this restaurant for its New York Strip Steak and was not disappointed. Medium rare, juicy and well presented. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, perfect. 1st course arrived within 10 minutes of the order. Main course about 15 minutes later. I had a great meal at a reasonable price. I like to east food without masking the taste with wine. This steak had all the flavours that I expected with the unexpected balsamic marinade to boost the experience. Went to dinner with a 6:30pm Saturday evening reservation. Perhaps being pre-show at Carnegie Hall, and due to a wedding party, the restaurant was very, very noisy. Our group of 4 could not converse without frequently repeating ourselves. After 8pm the noise abated. One guest enjoyed the chicken entrée, all found the pretzel and sesame bread to be disappointing (inedible was the consensus). The Caesar salad was good, but the spicy tuna roll was a disappointing in flavor and presentation. If you're interested in a classic cho... read more
Excellent -- professional, attentive service. Better than expected meal -- very efficient choice for midtown business lunch.
Redeye Grill is a mid town gem that's why I keep coming back! Their menu offers a wide array of great tasting dishes that steak lovers and vegetarians can truly enjoy. A fully stocked bar with a lounging area with a piano playing - one can relax after a tough day at work! In the summer time tables are set up outside so customers can enjoy dining alfresco. This is also a great lace to take your out of town guests and get a good flavor not only of the food but of the City itself that's always fibrant, high energy and diverse.
I can not rave about this restaurant enough. Our server, Alton, was personable and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and the cookies and brownies? Oh My Heavens! Will definitely make this a must do next time in the city.
Everything about our lunch was great! Service, food, ambience terrific. Seated in a small area--very cozy. Noise level minimal. Always try to dine there before the theater.
The salmon was wonderful. My friend had the salmon special and he said it was great. I had the salmon with pecan sauce which was a menu item. It was cooked perfectly rare as requested. Just terrific. The service was excellent--caring without being overbearing-Loved the bread too-
