My out of town guests were very pleased with The Redeye Grill. The staff was so friendly and sharp. The atmosphere was elegant, but casual and comfortable. Most importantly, the food was excellent. I have always enjoyed this restaurant, and will definitely return.
As always, consistent & excellent In everyway. This has become a favorite for myself & co-workers.
Each year I come to New York and dine at Redeye. I noticed a change in the caliber of food this time. It might have been a fluke but my stay in the City is so short that I would have to reconsider my dining reservations next year.
We enjoyed the Redeye Grill as always -- food really very good, albeit expensive. Waiter was charming, helpful and on point (so much so that he ran a block down 7th Avenue to bring me my sweater that I had left in the booth!).
We went pre-theater. Sat outside. Patio is above street level which made it very appealing. Attentive service. Rib-eye was excellent. Very good cocktail by their mixologist. I'd go back.
Warm greeting, Hostess mentioned my open table notes. Sunday afternoon menu not the same as what was online (?). Hangar steak and frites was fine. My friend enjoyed her lunch. Service was prompt and friendly. thank you.
We had dinner reservations for the evening, but four of us stopped in for a mid-afternoon cocktail. It was very attractive from the street and inside is simply gorgeous: very modern, big, and bright in the afternoon, but more subdued for dinner, fabulous atmosphere. We always make a point of eating here when we visit NYC. Food and service is always great. Only complaint is we want to see the Red Plane back!
It's hard to beat this restaurant. Yes it's New York and there are hundreds of restaurants. Red eye grill is consistent year after year. If you're new ask the fantastic wait staff what's good. They will never let you down. If you're a repeat customer I don't need to say anything. You know what you like. Specials are just that special. They have yet to dissappoint.
