This is one of our local favorites on our trips to NYC. This last trip, it was both our first place to eat upon our arrival and the last place to eat before returning to the airport. My husband says their Cobb Salad is the best he has ever had but, beware, it is very large. This time, we added lobster to the salad and shared. Their clam chowder is also fabulous but very rich. I can't think of anything on the menu I would not recommend. The biggest challenge is deciding what to order!
Wonderful evening. We have been to Redeye Grill other times, but the food this time was just about perfect. The fish was so fresh and it was simply prepared and plated beautifully. Everything we ate was just delicious. The staff is also so pleasant--attentive without being cloying.
A ten minute walk from upper Times Square, it caters to locals and tourists alike. Great for lunch or pre-theatre dinner. Hot fried calamari and peppers are excellent. Cob salad serves two. Great, personable service.
I met a client here for lunch.Good food and service. Reasonable price for NYC. Ambiance was very nice.
A few blocks from Central Park and the theater district, right across the street from Carnegie Hall. Food was good. Service a little slow. Pricey.
The food was well prepared and the environment and service was first rate but the prices were a little steep. I will dine here again after my Amex bill is paid.
We went into NYC for lunch and a Broadway matinee. The restaurant was within walking distance to the theater, and has a great reputation. It exceeded expectations. Staff was attentive and friendly; great menu. My lobster roll was as if we just got off the boat in Maine. Our waiter got backed up a few minutes for a drink order; when he returned with it he added two complementary glasses of champagne to apologize for the short wait. They even brought out a few fresh cookies and other desserts right on the tray (no charge!)for ... read more
Redeye Grill is uneven. When the food and service are good, they're very good, but sometimes they falter. My wife and I each had an entree salad for lunch. Mine (Chinese chicken) was excellent. Hers (chopped vegetables with steak) was indifferent -- and served without salad dressing (which was provided on request, although it took some effort to attract a server who could be bothered to correct the oversight). The airy setting feels festive, but at Redeye Grill's upscale prices, the experience should be more consistently ups... read more
What a wonderful place to dine. The service, ambiance and food were wonderful. When you are sitting in this beautiful decorated room where the tables are graciously spaced you could stay there all day. The brunch menu has a variety of delicious choices. The wait staff couldn't have been friendlier. They really go out of there way to make your experience special. It's one of my favorite restaurants in the city. it's like the Trevi Fountain...once you put your coins in you'll keep coming back.
