We have eaten at the Redeye before, but this was our best experiance. Our waitress was excellent. The food was better than expected.
A reliable lunch spot, with lots of choices and moderate prices. The deviled eggs were a fun starter but the salmon entree was unexciting. We enjoyed the little extras the staff was passing around, including small biscuits and tiny oatmeal cookies. Service was spotty; our waiter disappeared and after a long wait we had to flag down someone to get our check.
My daughter was playing at Carnegie Hall and had a 6:30 curtain call---Restaurant was very accommodating and served us promptly. They even accommodated us by adding another chair and place settings when 2 more friends joined us.
RedEye Grill continues to provide good food in pleasant surroundings but over the years some of the magic has begun fade. That's not to say I will not continue to use it as a great place to take friends and clients. The service continues to be good and the food enjoyable but I was a bit disappointed that my Filet Mignon was not as juicy and tender as it has been in the past. It is especially nice to plan dinner on a night when they have live jazz musicians.

The desserts were a little on the large side, but again, great. From the moment we walked in the front door until the moment we left, we felt right at home. The service was as good as any you might find in a much m... read more
Remarkable restaurant. Had the Prix Fixe lunch and it was a great value with wonderful appetizer, entrée and dessert options. Service was exceptional. I highly recommend it. Redeye is truly a neighborhood gem!
We went to the Redeye Grill some years ago and decided to go back again this year. We only stay in New York about once a year and like to try different places. Redeye is a very good restaurant in a great section of New York City. The selection of food on the menu is expansive enough that I have found that both myself and my wife have been happy finding what we want to eat. Preparation and display was great.
I dined at this restaurant many times and the food is always tasty and well prepared. I like to go to eat there because of the consistency I get everytime I visit. I never had a bad meal.
