Always love coming here before Sunday afternoon concerts at Carnegie Hall, across the street.

Scallops were good. Paella had lots of seafood but only 3 pieces of chorizo; rice had little flavor and was not at all crusty. Asparagus side was tasteless.

The food was delicious and we plan to return for it. We were most impressed by the professional service. We were welcomed and treated with "respectful familiarity" that makes you feel well cared for and like a "regular" the first time you get there. This added to an already lovely meal. We'll return.

I only get to NY once or twice a year, but always the Red Eye Grill is a "for sure" thing in having a wonderful dining experience from the food, wine, and of course dessert. Service is always very good, too. Looking forward to my next trip to NY and a visit to the Red Eye Grill!

Had an excellent dinner. Starters were guacamole combined with ceviche--very unusual and very good. Try the lobster mac and cheese--ask for a whole lobster. Unusally roomy for a midtown restaurant.

The menu offers a wide selection to choose from. Food and service were both good. Loved the freshly made bread/muffin and cookies offered on the tray brought around. Just one other comment: we were asked if we wanted a table near the window. I thought that view would be nice, which it was, but I was cold throughout the meal.

Redeye is a convenient and good restaurant in the West 50s, and I've made it there twice in the last 3 weeks. There have been some menu changes in the last year (the paella is smaller and skimpier on seafood but still costs the same, the green salad not as good, and the *amazing* crispy chicken with bok-choy has replaced by a less-than-amazing chicken with spinach and a sauce/glaze that doesn't measure up), but overall the menu still offers great variety and some notably good items (like the simply terrific duck quesadilla a... read more

We have been to this place several times. The staff is friendly, the service is great, and our group was able to talk and hear each other. However, the food is WAAAYYY over priced. $30 for a Cobb salad (chicken is extra)???? And the food is just fair. If a $30 Cobb salad knocked my socks off I'd be thrilled. This is diner quality food at haute gourmet prices. The crab cakes I make at home are better than the ones served here. I am just a cook, not a chef. We will not go back, and we will not recommend this place to anyone, e... read more
